Uconnect App issues will never get fixed either. According to Uconnect, it is dependent on an update for the 10.1 system. But accrording to the Uconnect programming guy, it has no bearing on the infotainment system. Who to believe? LOL
So the uconnect box pop-up issue there is no current fix? Someone on here mentioned connecting it to wifi for some kind of connection (not even sure if it is an actual update) solved it for them. Like the box just needed to be hooked up to WiFi then it could communicate.

I am already having the water leaking in the racetrack light. Started to look like that section is getting dimmer...

I booked an appointment at the Dodge dealer for when they would have a complimentary service rental vehicle - which is Janury 6th lol. So i booked it and said I am bringing is in for the uconnect error message and i have all three TSB for them printed out that they can use to fix. I printed out the safety recall of the look spolier and will give that to them as well, then I let them know the racetrack light was leaking water and that this is a known manufacturer defect due to the break down of the gasket (he made a sigh sound like they get these coming in a lot). And last thing was the medium setting for the heat not working when you put it directly on second setting from cold.

the way it was worded in the email:

"1st issue:

Rear Spoiler loose (gap on one side) - FCA safety recall issued

I have attached the NHTSA 21V-842 Safety Recall Y73 for the covered safety recall of this issue.

2nd issue:

Message on Uconnect 5 “Uconnect Box requires service. Please visit an authorized dealer”. There are 3 related STAR TSBs for this - attached as PDFs to this email. Here is a photo of the screen, sometimes the message pops up a couple times in a drive and sometimes several.

3rd issue:
Medium setting on heated seats doesn’t work if you go straight to the 2nd setting without going to 1(low) or 3 (high). This is a known issue on the Dodge Durango forums.

4th issue:
Racetrack rear LED center light is leaking water. There is standing water in it. This is a known issue as well, as the gasket breaks down behind the light and lets water into the light and eventually causes the LEDs to go out. Here are four pictures, 2 with LED light off, and 2 with LED light on, showing the water accumulation:

I’ve been to the dealer twice this week.. have to go back again to figure out what the clunk in when backing into my driveway (another broken wheel hub? Shock?). They can’t do anything about the Uconnect issues so I just keep logging them. Dealership is doing everything they can here but it’s getting old.

Yeah.

I have a small vibrating when I step on the brake.

Just got another “Camera not in position” message when putting it into reverse.

Anyone else had this?

I really don’t want to deal with wasting an hour drive to/from the dealer, being without it for another day, only to have them say “sorry, nothing we can do on our end”, then another hour to/from the dealer, if it’s something that I just need to wait for the next update (whenever that lands, if ever) to (not) fix.

Did not know the following until yesterday:

Only the Citadel, R/T, SRT/HC models have 3 temp settings for the front seats.
All GT Plus models only have 2 heat setting even with the 10.1" screen.
Now it makes sense.

A. Many many many many more Non CItadel V6 Duangos on the market with the now obvious no issue with seat heat settings.
B. Dodge (my opinion) knowingly (for unknown or speculative reasons) sold 2021 Durangos with a broken feature.

I wonder how many other car companies are selling their vehicles with broken features like Dodge does?

New one this morning.

Listening to FM, then, all of a sudden, it switched to SiriusXM (the default station, not even one we listen to). Zero driver input. It just switched.

@DodgeCares this is unacceptable. We are over a year and a half without a properly functioning infotainment system. We did our part and paid, when do we receive the product we were sold?

I've been getting ads for SIriusXM as system-level modal pop-ups every time I start the Durango for over a week now. It says listen free thru 12/5. I'm hoping this sh*t stops after today.
This has happened a couple of times to me over the past 1.5 years. It stopped as quickly as it started. Seems Sirius forgets you are subscribed.
Who runs Uconnect? I mean do we know the executive in charge of Uconnect? He or She needs to either step down get this shit fixed.
I am not looking forward to Wednesday when I bring all my issues to Dodge.

1. Medium heat setting does not function. it is going to be fun talking to the service writer.
2. Brakes pulsate. Dodge will see, so sorry, too bad, your out of 12/12k warranty
3. Tires shimmy at 60+ MPH. Dodge will say, so sorry, too bad, yoiur out of 12/12k warranty:rolleyes:
4. Not wasting time on asking for an update to firmware. This issue is DEAD as far as I am concerned.

I have 10k on this truck so I guess I will need new out of pocket brake pads and rotors.:poop:

I'm not actually subscribed. I can't stand Sirius/XM. I have zero interest paying for "radio" stations which don't work in tunnels or rain storms, and only play the same 4 songs over and over. No thanks. I'll just using my Spotify family account to play anything I want, when I want, with no ads whatsoever. I literally have no use for Sirius/XM at all.

I just pray my 2022 which is currently being built does not come to us with all these issues. This thread really wants me to re-think if I really want the DDSRT or not. If you had to do it all over again would you still buy the DD or would you pass?

With the latest version of Uconnect 17.99 or 17.98 I would buy the Durango again.
The wheel balancing and brake issues are (in my opinion) caused by my dealer.
The dealer had my fine silver wheels painted black (powder coated) and I would bet 1000 bucks that the wheels were not perfectly balanced and they over torqued the lug nuts.
For the hell of it, I tried to get the torque on the break away of a lug and it was 140lbs. WTF

I agree with this IF they fix it. If you told me this was the final release then I would just go with something else. This vehicle is amazing otherwise I would have dumped it already because the Uconnect system is just a giant pile of steaming shi....garbage. Paying 100K to have this experience is beyond damaging to the brand. I just passed on a 2023 Hellcat RedEye allocation and I am no longer considering any future Dodge purchases. This decision isn't knee jerk.. look at the Ram, Pacifica and Jeep forums and you will see Uconnect 5 has been a disaster for all of them and they are also being ignored / not getting software updates. As I near the end of factory warranty I realize I am just on my own and I will just have to live with the system as is which makes this an "avoid at all cost" brand to me in the future.

Thank God I only paid $43k for my gt plus. I never thought about being in your shoes. I'd be even more pissed paying $100k whit this POS uconnect system.

I’m sure it’s all relative.. when I had my 2013 SXT Durango (36K) years ago it was the most expensive vehicle I had ever owned and I would have been equally pissed off at the time. Actually thinking back I would have been more pissed off, I have options now (sell it, trade it, etc) and if I take a loss it’s whatever. Back when we had the SXT I would have been stuck owning it as I wasn’t able to absorb any kind of financial loss. Depending on someone’s situation this issue could be a major thorn in their side with no easy resolution or way out. 😤

I like the idea of a class action suit. We purchased a new 2021 Durango R/T and shortly thereafter a UCONNECT warning service message appeared. Not just once but multiple times on EACH trip. Very annoying. We let the dealer work on it several times. We rented substitute vehicles while they worked on it. Now say it was a known problem and an update would be forth coming. I've sent certified letters to dealership and Dodge advising them we consider this a safety issue and also selling a vehicle to us with a KNOWN problem is not right. Also, if we want to trade out of Dodge, then someone is going to ding us for the cost of a defective system
