I figured I would start this thread to see what issues people are running into. I'm sure many of these will be worked out quickly but wanted to see is others are having the same issues I am.

1) Yesterday, my screen became completely unresponsive. It would not acknowledge any screen touches. This went on for 5 minutes and continued after a reboot of the system. Eventually it just started working on its own again. It started when my apple car play started up.

2) Performance pages are glitchy. They seem to crash when I select the certain performance page I want to view. Without fail, the G Force page crashes and reverts to the home page every time I click on it.

3) I am unable to add more than one profile. I called Uconnect and they said an update will be pushed out soon to add up to 5 profiles. Is everyone having this issue?

4) Screen not dimming when headlights are on while using apple carplay. It seems like its on full bright even when headlights are on only when on the car play screen.

I would seriously suggest you migrate away from SiriusXM toward spotify. I have a family plan which gets me 6 separate accounts for 19.99 per month. I download my playlist songs to my phone and play it direct to the FUconnect5 over Android Auto Wireless. This keeps my phone from crushing my battery with downloads, and it allows me to get whatever bitrates I choose. Plus I don't loose my music and podcasts in a thunderstorm, tunnel, or urban canyon. It might just sound a lot better on the HK setup as well. If nothing else, you can try it out on the free Spotify accounts first.

I have been lucky with my 2021 R/T (built in December 2020). Only thing is the uconnect 5 box requires service message. Although recently I noticed little hiccups in my music playing from my phone.

So new one but now I’m pretty sure I’m discovering it’s been happening the entire Fing time… the radio EQ settings have been reset to default every time I’ve checked them. Either they reset to default when I load the profile or they are just getting reset overnight. @DodgeCares any news on a software update? I’m beyond pissed at this point, it’s been over a year since the last update (R17.99). 😡

I'm sorry, S8ER01Z,

We haven't received any new updates of an expected timeframe of the update yet.

I hate the built in VR. Does nto understand plain language very well and likes to use, "pardon" alot!
I have hundreds of songs on my usb drive and what is stupid about the VR with USB is the following:

If you tell the FU-Connect to play an album, it will but then you are freaking stuck with that album. meaning if you use the VR to play all music, it does not know what all means.
If you ask it to play a play list it says it cannot find one which is wrong as my playlist works with everything including my wife's 21' JGC.
It has been this way since I bought the vehicle so I stopped using the USB since there are NO controls to play specific music on your USB except the VR which is dumb as hell since it does not work.

Today I tried for 20 minutes to get out of playing a single album. What worked was when I said to the VR , play all songs. It asked me what song in particularly and I said A. Well that kind of worked as it started playing all songs in alphabetical order starting with A. However, you cannot set shuffle since it does nothing. Such a stupid VR FU-Connect system Mother Mopar has created.

Just had to lay down some more bitching about this system from 2007. Just because you give a 10.1" screen does not make your technology work!

Considering I received the first update 6+ months after the Y25 recall went out I suspect this means I’ll get the next update after my factory warranty runs out. 😂 fuck dodge at this point
It took 10 months to get mine. We should have a poll to see who had the longest wait. Pathetic. And when they lose billions by selling battery powered turdmobiles I'll be laughing my ass off driving another brand.

That would be interesting to know.. I got the Y25 letter July 26th 2022 and the recall went out November 2021 iirc. 10 month wait for a recall letter that’s just insane 🤯

It's just like HR here at work. We are two years into this buyout and HR has yet to produce an employee manual, implement their attendance points policy or provide us the wage tiers we've been working on.

First off, sorry for the novel. I have a 2021 Durango, and have had some issues recently and was wondering if this was just me or more common. Just to add, I still haven’t updated my radio yet, I still have the 21.whatever.61 software, so updating may possibly fix some/all of the issues, I got the Y25 notice and usb stick back in October or November, but haven’t gotten around to updating yet. First issue would be related to daylight savings time. I picked the Durango up in April 2021, so DST had already started and the time on the radio was correct. There aren’t any settings that I can’t find to adjust for it, but in the fall of 2021, spring and fall 2022, it adjusted automatically. Cue to a few weeks ago, I get in to go to work, and it’s still showing an hour behind. I figure before, it took a couple minutes to fix, so I waited and still nothing. It’s now been a few weeks, and the time still hasn’t updated. Also, not that this seems to affect anything, but the date was showing as April something 2021, and if I set to sync with gps now, it shows may 2021. I’ve adjusted the date and time manually, so at least it’s correct, but this leads me to my next issue, it would seem that the navigation uses the gps time, so if I use the Uconnect navigation, it shows me arriving an hour earlier than actual. And in keeping with the subject of navigation, the last issue would have to do with the traffic, my traffic seems to have stopped working for the past few weeks. I can’t find any traffic information, settings or subscription information in any menu, other than to show traffic flow. Finally, just a question in relation to the traffic. I know it’s through TomTom, but does anyone know if there’s any subscription for it, or do we get it free for life? Like I said earlier, I can’t find any subscription information anywhere in the radio, and haven’t seen anything online, even on the TomTom website regarding the Uconnect 5 system.

Well, I finally got around to updating my radio. Initial indications seem to be that it worked. The gps time and date are now correct, and looking at the navigation map, the traffic was showing up again, and that was before I did the factory reset, so it looks like it might have been something software related. Although, I don’t remember what the screen looked like when I first got it, but now after the factory reset, everything looks different, so I guess I’m going to have to spend some time fixing all my settings to back to what I had.

There has to be a difference between SRT and R/T and GT UC5 firmware even with the same firmware version. This subtle difference has to be causing these issues that seem to plague SRT owners more then R/T and GT+ Mine is pretty stable and the existing bugs are annoying but my Android Auto is king and works perfect so FU Uconnect. LOL

Honestly, if I owned one of these I would be looking for a radio out of a wrecked '22 or '23 to put in it.

It seems as tho it’s the same few posting over and over again with issues and the vast majority have no problem. My Uconnect works just fine other than an occasional 15 sec or so delay in connecting to CarPlay. I would certainly be very pissed off if i saw the repeated issues that some of you are experiencing. Weird its not fixable when it doesn’t seem to be the norm?

People with persistent issues since getting the car. If you have had multiple dealer visits make sure to lookup lemon laws in your state.

If you meet the requirements you may be able to get a refund for any work done, or towards the car itself.

Each state is different and some are much more stringent then others.

I saw the latest TSB for the Uconnect box dated this year and I remember it was all physical, antenna connections, uconnect box connections etc etc.
There was mention of software update but Dodge was trying real hard in the TSB to point to a physical connection issue as the cause of choice.
