SRT front and rear sway bar on a RT? - Already IS!

Has anyone swapped the DD rear sway bar and links with one from the SRT? Are they different even? I know the JGC SRT rear is a solid bar, not sure of the one they use on the RT.

Consolidated all the info to this first post, updated 2014-11-25.

You would be very shocked to find that there's quite a few manufacturers that use hollow sway bars.

For those parts gurus out there, are you able see part numbers for both the JGC SRT8 sway bar vs the DD RT sway bar parts?

It would be interesting to see about the front end too... there's GOT to be someone that's done this one. I know quite a few JGC guys have swapped for SRT bars.

Ok, so far with some time this afternoon digging for part numbers and such...

New one on me as for Hollow sway bars... The RT D's sway bars are pretty massive stock... I would be very curious to know if the SRT ones are bigger overall diameter... If they are then I'd definitely be up to swap out!!!!! Has ANYONE ever found strut tower brace for the new D's?????? I'm not aware of any on market and am working with Fab shop to build me one. I'd rather buy one that is currently on market if possible.... Chime In Please..........

D front is 33/34 on mine

I wonder if you can see a p/n on the RT swaybar with it installed... Would be interesting to see if that front srt sway bar would work too!

Poly bushings always help, but they can squeak like a MF-er if you dont grease them enough.

And fyi, when I measured my stock rear bar with a micrometer I came up with 23mm. That's on a 2012 RT with tow package.

Backed up onto some ramps today to gather up part numbers on the model year 15' AWD R/T:

Confirmed that the R/T (at least 2015) does indeed use share the Jeep SRT rear sway bar. Part number 68184507AA, exact same as the SRT sway bar.

Good Info SULI
I believe someone else confirmed rear bar was same on 13's as well.
I am very curious about the front bar.

I like that front tower brace, but that just cost just seems absurd for any strut tower brace. By the way, it does say the engine cover needs to come off, FINELINE, did you have to do that and did it stiffen up the front end/steering?

I'll be putting the front end up this week sometime to take a peek at the front sway as well to see if I can answer that. It's nice having a brand new D with all the part number tags on everything. :)

I should be able to get the ramps out tomorrow evening to look at the front end sway bar on the R/T.

Anyone tried a set of bwoody SRT links on their R/T?

CONFIRMED! (FYI, edited first post for the sway bar info to be contained in it)

Dug the ramps out and looked under the front: SAME AS SRT SWAY BAR! pn: 68184511AA

The Durango R/T and the Grand Cherokee SRT both use the same front and rear sway bars.

You need to get those blackops links on and let us know how they are! Where did you pick them up from?

Nice, found them, they look good!
BLACK OPS Auto Works

Wonder if they can make a set with grease zerks on them... definitely let us know when you get them on and if you can notice any difference!

Damn $330 for end Links.

Ok, I really want a strut tower bar that will allow me to keep my custom painted engine cover in place. Found www.BlackOpsAutoWorks.com, which looks like the site referred to in Suli's post above. I'm fairly new to the forum, so not sure how all this works.

Forum Admin/Pres, what is the best way to get this company to see that they would likely have no problems selling a bunch of these if they made them, since they appear to be all alone in the market now? Could we get a group buy pre-arranged? It appears the Arrington one was a test run. All are sold and none available anywhere on the web, not even from Arrington directly.

Any news on this strut tower bar?

13'? Not sure, you just need to crawl under and see if there's any part labels still around on it. I don't think the Cit has the SRT setup like the RT has.

I just confirmed at the dealer today. My '13 Citadel has the same rear sway bar as the R/T and JGC SRT - PN68184507AA

But the front bar is different, being "standard duty suspension" as opposed to "sport suspension"

Looks like I'm ordering the front bar as well as a full set of R/T springs for mine. Unless anyone has the stock R/T springs they removed and are willing to sell.
