I figured I would start this thread to see what issues people are running into. I'm sure many of these will be worked out quickly but wanted to see is others are having the same issues I am.

1) Yesterday, my screen became completely unresponsive. It would not acknowledge any screen touches. This went on for 5 minutes and continued after a reboot of the system. Eventually it just started working on its own again. It started when my apple car play started up.

2) Performance pages are glitchy. They seem to crash when I select the certain performance page I want to view. Without fail, the G Force page crashes and reverts to the home page every time I click on it.

3) I am unable to add more than one profile. I called Uconnect and they said an update will be pushed out soon to add up to 5 profiles. Is everyone having this issue?

4) Screen not dimming when headlights are on while using apple carplay. It seems like its on full bright even when headlights are on only when on the car play screen.

Ya my phone does that regularly and it's annoying AF too, I can be sitting still with the phone in the cradle with an Apple cable and it still does it, so Dodge/Apple can't say it's the cable. It's the crap radio/software. I think we should all get to punch each Uturd employee at least twice for this shit.

If only Sony would make a replacement.

Really? I am getting them multiple times daily. Did you get antenna replaced, or do you mean from using the new software version?

This is happening to our 2018 Dodge Durango ST that is consistently unreliable and frankly dangerous to use.

@DodgeCares Can you provide assistance here? A family should not be distracted by a rear view camera popping up randomly or the climate changing, or even the radio which all happens. How can dodge sell a product that is so faulty?
Hi there,
Feel free to send us a detailed private message so we can discuss further and offer some assistance.

Your radio won't be covered by Dodge. You probably have the beginning of screen delamination and you can DIY the screen (some say easy, some say not) or replace the radio.

The closest you will get is an Android phone. I will say Samsung S series unlocked phones are outstanding. My S23 and previous S21 never had any issues with connectivity to the UC5 system.
BT, AA or wifi, all are perfect.

I wear a foil lined knit cap during the winter. Helps prevent big brother from hearing my thoughts through the 5G and 4G spectrum.
If the summer it is more difficult but with the advent of the hoodie in the summer fashion I have seen for the past few years, that is what I do.
A foil lined hoodie. I am thinking about designing my own line of protected wear.

I tried to upgrade the MAP software over the weekend. I ran into a problem in that UC5 did not like the files on the following usb stick. (tried 2 different brands)

64GB
formatted with ext32 or NTFS
partitioned to 32gig then formatted with fat32 or NTFS
files in root folder
files in sub folder
tried USB port 1 then port 2

I used a 32GB drive (update files in the root directory) and had no issue with NTFS and the maps updated.

The strange thing is, my 64gig music drive works fine formatted with NTFS and it has about 45 gigs of music on it.

I wonder why the limitations of the Map update operation?

Well the Uconnect Box error pops up on every start now. I also noticed my center display in my dash goes half green on a reboot of the UC5 system. I have to tap up or down to clear it.
I keep the MPG gauge up and that is what gets wonky. This half green screen issue where the MPG display is started 2 weeks ago.

Such a sad state of affairs. Oh and I looked at some SRT Durangos at a dealer near me, all 2023's and they have a 5k market adjustment markup. WTF.
year old vehicle that obviously cannot sell yet stick it to the consumer every what a dealer can.
I am not saying I would purchase another Durango (I HIGHLY DOUBT I WOULD) for the troubles, I just like to look and keep tabs on what Doodah dealers are doing.

What should I buy as I am taking suggestions :D

Your tardy Covid told FU-Connect that it was tardy in hitting you with this virus too. ;) But you probably need to fix the connections on the back of the radio as they probably came loose like everyone else's did. I can't believe that a new antenna wire is needed for the fix - just tighten the connectors. Or, like Stoopalini (I think) pointed out, there is a bypass to the box.

Hmm, don't know what's up there. I'm sure it still has something to do with the radio though.

It definitely has something to do with the radio. If I reboot the radio the green screen happens which is something new as I have rebooted this junk hundreds of times of the past 3 years and never saw it until this month.

Does anyone have a download to the latest version that they are trying to push over the air? Every time we turn off the Durango, it says it wants to do an update and it will take 5 minutes, so we sit and wait. After about 1 minute we get error -5 if I remember correctly. I don't think the latest update solves anything other than the backup camera issue that they were legally obligated to fix. Thanks

It's only available over the air or, I believe, from the stealership.
