2021 DD Uconnect 5C 10.1" System Issues/Glitches (Share your experiences)

I figured I would start this thread to see what issues people are running into. I'm sure many of these will be worked out quickly but wanted to see is others are having the same issues I am.

1) Yesterday, my screen became completely unresponsive. It would not acknowledge any screen touches. This went on for 5 minutes and continued after a reboot of the system. Eventually it just started working on its own again. It started when my apple car play started up.

2) Performance pages are glitchy. They seem to crash when I select the certain performance page I want to view. Without fail, the G Force page crashes and reverts to the home page every time I click on it.

3) I am unable to add more than one profile. I called Uconnect and they said an update will be pushed out soon to add up to 5 profiles. Is everyone having this issue?

4) Screen not dimming when headlights are on while using apple carplay. It seems like its on full bright even when headlights are on only when on the car play screen.

There are 2 TSBs one from last April which refers to a bent pin in the GPS antenna connector/
The other is from this month but simply says to reset the ECU if trouble codes are not present or DTC diagnostics are inconclusive.

I am thinking that someone needs to get together and start a class action lawsuit against FCA for the Android Auto issue. I have had the issue with 3 different phones. I can disable the android auto issue and it works fine with bluetooth. It will not stay connected with AA. Now the compass regular stops working and now the xm resets its self until I call XM and get them to reset it. I can't do it from the self help as that isn't quite enough to get it working again. Dodge said there is nothing they can do. I have 5k miles but this did the first night I dove it home.

For everyone waiting for the update. The whole time I'm waiting for an update, Dodge never knew mine was defective, ok Stellantis. When my dealer entered my vin# nothing came up. The dealer finally got Stallantis on the phone and did the download to their system and programmed my DD. I haven't read all the posts but wanted to pass along some info. Check to see if they are even aware yours is affected.

Weather makes no difference with mine. it has worked in snow storms and rain storms and for the past week it has not worked and it has been sunny.
FWIW, my 2015 Ram, 2011 SRT and 2015 JGC never had issues with anything Uconnect. For 2021 the 8.4" would have been fine for me but I was excited to get the new 10.1" which was an epic fail for 2021!

I logged into the mopar portal and it say click here to renew Sirius. LOL the URL goes no where (blank page)

Dodge is so ass backwards I am finally done with them. I will not by another mopar and the cause is Uconnect and Dodge and their dealers!

I had my first real issue this week. Started the vehicle and turned on Uconnect. System opened to the Media page. I last listened to SiriusXM and the “Signal lost attempting to reconnect” message was flashing. I pressed the FM station button to select FM, but the system kept redirecting back to SiriusXM and the flashing “signal lost…” message. After a minute or two the satellite signal reconnected and the system operated normally.

I get the signal lost issue, but the fact the message was flashing and the system would not allow me to select another Media option seems like a bug. Anyone else experienced the same issue?

Two new verified bugs.
1. In the weather app (when it works) the rain amount is in metric (mm) not inches.
2. Another DD owner @CaptMoe found it first and I was skeptical (I apologize) but I also verified it, Favorite Stations after a day or 3 revert to be a non favorite.

Our '21 still has the original FW from a year ago now. I still have not received any USB or notice of an update. Checking Uconnect says no update. Should I download the file a few pages back and do it myself?

Things seems to work ok. I don't need the extra profiles if it is slow. Only thing I hate is every time a connected Bluetooth phone covers within distance... It automatically switches to Android auto.

For example, if my wife goes into a store I wait in the vehicle. My phone isn't connected Bluetooth as I have that off 99.9% of the time. My wife has Bluetooth on 100% of the time. I'll be listening to the radio and here she comes walking out. And it connects, switches to Android auto and plays Spotify. Even if I'm listening to FM when she leaves the vehicle it will popup a message phone has disconnected switching to Android auto.

It is very annoying... Would an update fix this? Or is there an option to disable this behavior?

BTW the Android auto works fine when it does.

Download the file and do it manually. Please read the TSB as well before doing it so you know what to do.

Then after 2 weeks or so you will get an OTA update to put you on the latest firmware.

The latest firmware is well worth it even with some continued bugs.

Go check your vehicle setting, and disable update over WiFi option. Once disabled, you radio should start to receive OTA updates. You have to be in a major city area where 4g signal is strong enough and you have to drive around the area for a longer period of time. If you just park your vehicle in your garage and or you are in a super remote area. Then chances of getting that 17.99 are very slim. I have updated mine to .99 on 2/25, the update triggered as soon as I turned off my Durango. 17.99 seems to work great so far, almost flawlessly. Took me over 2 months to get the .99 version after updated to 17.89 from the Uconnect USB came in the mail. The thing is .99 OTA update happens very random, and unfortunately there is no set schedule or update upon request. Your local dealership should have 17.89 version to update it for you, that version still works well enough than my original factory version (14.86). But your ultimate goal is to get that 17.99 if you want a bug free Uconnect software.

I wonder if the weather only works with Sirius Gaurdian service active? While it was partially working with my subscription active, if it is part of guardian then I will use that to get a cheap subscription (or atleast try). if it's not part of gaurdian (I cannot find it on any literature) then I am back to it just simply not working for the past 1.5 months. LOL
