"busted by FUConnect".... What, they'll make you sit in a room with a bunch of teenagers answering calls about the software they know nothing about?

Interesting, there have been rare occassions (maybe two or three times in the ~3 years we've owned the D) that the rear camera has gone blank in reverse. But it corrected when putting in park then reverse again. I wonder if this is what the recall is referencing...
I had the same thing happen, I did report it to tHE NHSTA but no one ever reached out for follow up. Seems I wasn’t alone with the issue.

Did anyone get an update pushed to them last night? Seeing reports of it in the Facebook group. If so, wondering what the version is.

Are people getting updates over the built in 4G or do they have the car connected via wifi to their home?

This update does the OS and maps, that is over 20 gigs and I cant see how Dodge is pulling that off over 4G, in particular their ATT s connection which is slow at best with 1 or 2mbits/sec and at that rate, it would take 20 hours to download the data.

I thought I would start this to track latest known versions of Uconnect 5 for each model year.

2021FCA-MY21.R17.99-PROD
2022FCA-MY22.S23.13-PROD?
2023FCA-MY23.T27.39-PROD
2024FCA-MY24.U27.14-PROD?

I’ll try to keep this updated as I find more information. Please feel free to post up any information you have in case I have something wrong. The list above will be official releases since it’s possible to run other versions on older model years but it’s not supported and may cause issues with your dealer/Uconnect support.

Edit: As noted by stoopalini it's possible that versions are brand/model specific. I have adjusted the known entries above to verified versions. 2022 and 2024 are still unknowns and I will leave a question mark behind them until I can verify the versions.
I have a 22 and was given the '21 software version, both when I originally picked up the vehicle and when I had the radio replaced due to profile issues on driver 1.

Does anyone have the new update file that we can load up in the DD? The 17.99 version is crap and need to get rid of it.

There is a recall for the backup camera so they will be releasing something very soon to fix that issue and I believe this means we may finally get a more recent release. There is a chance of course that they just cherry pick the changes info the old crap software and ship it but I have my fingers crossed and hope they do the right thing here.

Some members who have MY23 have gotten the OTA update. FWI, for MY21 I think it will be DECEMBER!

When I got home Wednesday and turned the car off, UConnect popped up a screen saying it was going to install the update. My car isn't connected to my home Wi-Fi, so the update must have come over the air using a spell and incantation.

When I got in the car yesterday, I noticed that my "Comfort" settings were all wrong. Auto mode was not selected and the temperature setting seemed to be at the lowest setting. I tapped the hardware Auto button and that seemed to put me back into Auto mode. But, tapping the hardware temperature up/down buttons had no effect.

I've played around with things a little since then and gone through two additional start-ups. No change. The hardware temperature buttons still don't work. The only way to adjust the temperature is the slider on the touchscreen while in "Comfort" mode. And, the actual temperature values are gone. It's all relative. So, if I'm driving down the road with Android Auto or Sirius XM on the display, I have to go into "Comfort" mode, tweak a slider on the touch screen, and then go back to whatever display I had up before.

@DodgeCares Why would your software engineers break a hardware feature that worked just fine before the update?

Firmware updates would always take a few hours (once updated) to settle down with all feature becoming active. it does suck it now takes a couple of days but from what other said, everything does start working correctly in a day or 2.

Dodge is going to get sold by Stellantis because they do not know how to make money with it. Hopefully the Chrysler family buys it back.

We should all pool our money and buy Dodge. From the number of HC owners here there is certainly a lot of money floating around on this forum. I would be a minority owner of course.

I will put in 150K towards buying Dodge. I think all we then need is 9,999,850,000 more. Pony up you HC owners!
