Yes, except for the more frequent engine services required on the 392 to maintain warranty.
I am nicknaming the RT with Tow n Go, The SRT Lite.
Unfortunately, after watching a YouTube video on the MY 21 RT with Tow n Go, it apparently has the 3.09 rear end, not the 3.70. At least according to “Alex on autos” video. Perhaps he is wrong.
I had the dealer go through the options on THEIR computer; no place does it list 3.70 gears with the Tow N Go package either.
Also, at CDN$5400 list, the Tow N Go package is not priced high enough to include the differentials according to the sales guy. Adjustable shocks, exhaust, those rims, Brembo brakes and the CDN$850 tow hitch/package included.
He said the numbers don't allow for the gears...it would be more $$.
I'm disappointed but not surprised in the least.

Yes, I suppose the gear ratio would not be the factor to allow it to bump up the tow rating of the 392 and Hellcats number of 8700. Just going to work harder with the 3.09 gears. Must be from the suspension, 10” wheels and bigger brakes, that gives it the boost in tow rating?

I think that's the day mine was ordered too lol... it'll be interesting to see who's comes when... I didn't order mine privately so I might not count, it was ordered through work as part of a fleet purchase so I wonder if I'm at the top or bottom of the list... time will tell.

The Durangos are produced in JNAP along with the Grand Cherokee. If i remember correctly they produce around 1k durangos a week, with remaining production being grand cherokees. If your vin numbers are low you should be produced in the first few weeks.

Funny enough, my sales guy and I had the same discussion.
He sells Ram trucks as well of course; option a RAM with 3.92 gears vs 3.23 tow rating goes way up 3,000lbs or so. That option is like $250 or something cheap like that. But it is just a ring and pinion upcharge basically.
Knowing this, how did Dodge increase the tow rating? We don't know.
The Durango AWD would be one complete housing and a front setup. $5400 package does not support these changes along with the rest of the package.

For you guys who ordered them, what was the total cost after options? And did you get a lease price? I was told by dealers that if you order you won't know ur pricing until it arrives. Im torn right now between waiting for the 21 rt tow n go or getting a low optioned 20 srt.
I ordered mine on 9/15. The MSRP is $62,855 (USD), options are:

Tow n Go
Black Top Package
Technology Package
Blind Spot
2nd row Capt Chairs
Leather (Black)
Sun Roof
Cargo Plus Group
Red Brembo Brakes SRT perf pads

My purchase price before any rebates $58,002.

We're are planning on leasing it. But no quote for that yet since rates/rebates change.

Correct, that why I got the 3.92’s in my 1500.
This will be solved once I get my build sheet after it’s built, or hopefully sooner.
One more thing, just want to say how pathetic FCAs websites are. For the Durango, when you go to build and price, here in Canada it allows you still to build MY’s 19 and 20. Even though they are no longer in production.😳 How about letting people shop what’s current? Like.....hmmm....the upcoming new 21’s?
Not sure why, but doesn’t seem proactive for future sales to me. At least on the US site it only allows you to build the 20’s, so that’s not quite as ridiculous.

So why is there a $4853 difference from the MSRP and your purchase price?
MSRP price is with destination and tax?
Just wondering.

Ya with all the goodies added its up there. Our 2018 R/T has all that stuff so we got the same options plus the tow n go/red calipers.

Some things we didn't get were the DVD player, HK radio, carbon fiber trim, premium dash/headliner, 2nd row center console, & no stripes. It'd be another $8-9k to add all that stuff!

Thats not too bad. My guess would be that there will be no rebates the first few months since this is a new model.

Ya not sure if they'll do Power dollar rebate for these. I'm hoping since it'll be close to the end of the year they'll have something.

Yea i was thinking the oems will want to close out the year on a high note so they may have some good incentives. Ive noticed the power dollars seem to come around often so hopefully they are around.

But.....it’s not a new model, just a few tweaks in and out. So you never know, sales are off big this year.
Not new but its considered a mid cycle enhancement and with upgraded interior it drives demand up a little. Since covid lease deals are horrible across the board. I had been looking at a Ram laramie before the durango and the lease price is $100 a month higher now than it was back in March. Ive talked to numerous sales guys who said fca pulled all their volume bonus incentives until inventory is replenished. There are many factors that go into leasing and the main one is the residual value. It will have a lot to do with what the banks set the residuals at when the 2021 model comes out. The current rt leases in the low 500s from what I've heard, so if the 21 is anywhere close to that ill be thrilled.
