Well, upgraded the exhaust on my Durango last week only for my wife to get pissed and made me put the stock exhaust back on. Then I went to work today to have my co workers send me Amazon listings for eye lashes and bras for my Durango with the message, "This should help further Clifford's "Journey"" (referencing Bruce Jenner's "Journey"). Then renaming my Durango Roxxy.
Yeah, I guess that would make me cranky too. Would some jewelry help the cause?

I wish, but no. We were driving in her minivan over the weekend because she refused to ride in the Durango and as the 4 kids were screaming and fighting in the backseat, I said to her "oh yea, your car is sooooooo much quieter than my Durango." She was just grumpy for the rest of the night.

Well, just ran into a glitch... I went out to install the beautiful new dead pedal and... the machine screws are simply too short to get through the pedal, rubber pad, carpet and backing plate. So, I contacted the seller and he sends sincere apologies. Apparently our carpets are thicker than others he's done this way. He's going to express me some proper ones and I'll reroute to everyone ASAP.

He's also looking into ordering from Fastenal here in the states and seeing if they could mail out to each of us. Stay tuned. We will figure something out.

Option two for those impatient and/or with a good hardware store like Fastenal nearby, buy your own. They aren't expensive. You'll need 4 of the M3 x 12-14mm long countersunk flat head hex machine screws in stainless. Sorry for the delay everyone. If I'd delayed sending yours out until I installed mine I could have bought a box of 100 and included them. The life of a custom parts manufacturer... Hang in there. Stuart

OK, all GROUP BUY participants. The fabricator has looked at all the options. Fastenal wasn't helpful, so he has taken care of it by sending out LAST NIGHT individual letters to each of us with a variety of 3 different lengths of machine screws for your install. Pick the ones that work best for you. Personally, I'm probably going to go with the longest ones, as under our dead pedal carpet area is a super thick piece of that black styrofoam that fills in a depression in the body there. I figure the ends of the machine screws will dig into that and help keep the pedal in place.

Anyway, sorry for the disappointment on a delayed install. He thinks the letters will take a week or so to get to each of us. Again, if you are super impatient, see my previous post for the length screw you likely need and head over to Fastenal. Some of you will recieve your pedals today, and the rest, tomorrow.

I applaud the guy though. For not having a test mule car, and just relying on my drawing and measurements, the pedal came out great, and matches the Mopar bright ones perfectly. Once we have the proper length screws, this is going to be a very secure install. Hang in there. STUART

Thank you for the update Stuart.

One thing I never thought about was my husky mats. I'll have to cut around them if I want to see this mod lol.
Yes, that's true. Personally I run the stock carpeted mats in the non-winter months, but I may trim my winter mats. Not sure yet...

Pedal Looks Awesome Cant wait to get new screws and get it installed

Tony, no instructions, but I or Steve or some other impatient Forum member will no doubt be installing soon and posting pics of the process. Read my post from yesterday. Unfortunately, the machine screws are too short to go through our carpet. He has already mailed out an assortment of longer screws to each person, which should arrive in a week or so. In the meantime, just prop it up on your desk and admire the craftsmanship. Stay tuned. STUART

Thanks you made me laugh. I can't put it on my desk because then my wife will ask how much and what is the purpose of that and i will have to bribe her silence. But yes I will wait patiently.

Maybe you could tell her it's a money saving device. By installing a pretty left side pedal to step on, you won't be mashing so hard on the R side pedal as much. Just think of all the money you'll save, and free up for jewelry, meals out, etc....;););)

Got mine today looks great, cant wait to get it installed. i might go get some new screws if i can't wait, but most likely i wont get to it anytime soon.
I also have a e-brake cover that i got, mercedes benz part, matches with everything else.

Having to get new screws shouldn't be too much of an issue. Thanks for the update.
