Hello everyone. I am new to the forum. I have a 2015 Dodge Durango. I bought it used. It drove great for about 15 months then the transmission started slipping between 6th and 7th gear. I recently had the transmission rebuilt. The vehicle was in my possession less than three hours before I had to have it towed back to the shop. The vehicle is not recognizing park or reverse but it is not registering any error codes during diagnostics. Is this an electrical, computer or transmission issue? Could the transmission shop have damaged something to cause this issue?

What engine and trans are in it? That will matter as well as rear drive or AWD.

99% chance that the trans rebuild was done incorrectly somehow.

What sucks now is that you're going to take it back to the people that most likely rebuilt the trans incorrectly to get fixed correctly. If they knew what they were doing it wouldn't have broken down in the first place.

Did they give you a 6 month warrantee on the rebuild?

The ZF transmissions are very solid. 126k seems odd for a rebuild required at that mileage. Likely bad rebuild or bad sensor on the rebuild will cause that.
