Hello, I just took delivery of a 2023 Dodge Durango GT plus with uconnect 5 10.1 screen. My navigation is indeed stuck in dark mode and the theme mode option to change screen light and dark is not available. I have brought this is to the attention of Chrysler support and I am waiting for a solution. Not sure if they knew about the issue or not?
The dark Nav theme started in 22MY and has carried over to 23MY
I have it on my 21 Durango because I have 22MY firmware installed.
I like the dark Nav theme but only if done right which it is not.
Anything but the road you are actually driving on is so hard to see, it is useless. Whne the system dims at night When headlights are on) it is beyond useless as you cant see shit. There was absolutely NO reason for Dodge to screw with the Nav theme while 21MY and 22MY are still waiting for fixed frmware. Uconnect exceutive and senior management need to go work for Yugo which is being revived. LOL

I fear the dark mode for the Nav/weather is where Mopar is going to stay and if so, their UI desginers are notlistening to customers, if they even ask.
@CKB does your Theme show helmets on the driver/passenger images when looking at the HVAC controls on the 10.1" screen?

Wow, so Dodge removed the helmut heads on purpose. WTF. I though maybe it was the Ram/Pacifica update I put on my Durango that did it. Guess not! Dodge has now made my R/T nothing special. I only bought it cause of the helmets so I am pissed to no end ;):ROFLMAO:

I did not care the UC5 system did not work correctly, I did not care my heated seat settings did not work, I did not care my engine rpms run away in neutral, I did not care my brake roters warped in 10k miles, I did not care my spoiler can fly off, I did not care side airbags were installed incorrectly, I did not care about the hemi tick, I did not care about crooked exhaust, I did not care about mis-aligned lift gates, I did not care about runs/drips in the paint, I did not care the side lower moldings do not fit right, I did not care about anything but my damn helmets and now they are gone forever.

Just took delivery if my 2024 GT. Monday. No option for changing dark mode, makes using onboard nav useless in the day. Hopefully a fix is in the works
24's may have a way to change the light/dark mode. But I think you are an AI bot so I am not going to tell you. LOL

Def not an AI bot. 🤣😶‍🌫. But I do work at Stellantis HQ so I'll ask around the engineering staff
If you work for Stellantis and bought a Durango and now have questions about the crap implementation of UC5, it makes me suspect as it oozes Chinese or Russian AI interference. ;):ROFLMAO:

Hey just cause I work here doesn't make me a bot. If you knew the engineering staff we have to deal with. You would understand why it's impossible to get a straight answer on anything. Not too mention there is no way a union member ( myself) would 1) Russian, 2) Chinese or 3)a bot. Thanks for the warm welcome to this site. Tough crowd.
Oh come on man, we're not that tough. It is just that Dodge has left all Durango owners in the gutter to rot. We're (at least I am) just a little annoyed.. But since you are going to mosey on over to UC engineering, say hello to Frank T for me.

Post a larger pic of your Durango, it 's hard to see but looks nice!

My suspicion is that @Tph617 is a Dodge AI bot. ;)
Beyond that, I am not sure when TSBs are released to the automotive repair industry, maybe after 1 year or immediately but I am sure if you search you will find it.
