Replace the fuel pump people. Or at least have the fuel pressure tested to show it needs to be replaced.

I had a 2013 jeep grand cherokee that would do this intermittently and it was the fuel pump relay in the TIPM. In fact, there was a recall for this...not sure how the 2021 system is wired up but checking the fuel pressure at startup and weather the injectors fires is where I would start. Then I would check for spark at startup.

My Durango is at the dealership today. Will update this thread with what they say. Have a feeling it will be tough to reproduce, but thanks to a ring camera in my garage, I can prove it's happening. I have not recorded every single occurrence but have seven or so recorded and spliced together. I have a link to the video (too large to attach directly). Does this match up with what others are seeing?

Does it ever happen with remote start using your keyfob?
Have you tried simply pressing the start button and immediately letting it go? No need to hold the button or press the gas. (not saying you are)
I wonder if the Tip Start programming is screwed up and needs an update?

Issue: CrankNo StartCondition, No DTC’s Customer Complaint/Technician Observation:
Owner complains the vehicle does not start at times after the vehicle is turned off from a short trip, vehicle will crank but will not start.
Technician observed no DTC’s set and that the condition could not be duplicated.
Discussion: Inspect fuse 70 within the PDC, C5 andC3 PDC connectorsfor any signs of a pushed out and or spread terminals(perform a pin drag test on suspect terminals), secure or replace the terminals as needed

What the above really means is, pop open the fuse cover under the hood and press every fuse down until they seat. They come from the fuse box manufacturer not seated well. I was shiocked when I saw how many needed to be seated in my fuse box. Known issue with ever model of Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler.

Yes that’s exactly the same! Please update us with what the dealer says!

No issues with my 2021 TNG...
Some Hellcat owners had this issue.
Turned out to be one of the 2 fuel pumps faulty causing long cranking/ no 1st start.

One pump is a transfer pump- it pushes fuel to the other side of the tank/pump.
Durango is similar I believe.

I spoke to the service tec briefly yesterday, They were able to reproduce the issue. He told me they had a "service bulletin" for this issue from Dodge. I guess there was a potential fault with the wiring/ connections on the back side of the fuse box. As I understood it, it was the back side of the connectors that wires clip into to power starter, fuel pump, etc. They reseated the connections as well as applied something to aid in connectivity/conduction. They were letting it sit overnight and going to try again today to test if it worked. Sorry for the vagueness. I am just going off memory of a 10 min phone call with the tec last night. Just wanted to update this post ASAP with what i have learned so far. I will provide more detailed info once I get the car back and am able to speak to them in person.

Yes that’s what I was referencing, but do you have the # so I can have the dealer look it up?

Did you get your vehicle back and has it had any issues since if so? After 2+ months I am still dealing with the dealership and they are claiming that the can't get the issue to reproduce on their end so I am basically SOL at this point although I have multiple ring videos to show the occurrences on my end. They made me pick up my car yesterday from the shop and within 2 hours it was happening to me again! Extremely frustrated at this point!
