Rob,
Enjoy this time, it is a real exciting one. Once the baby is born & you have some time, you will enjoy tinkering with your truck. Until then, take care of your girl, they will always remember this time & what you did for them! You'll have some free time between now & then to do your research & decide which mods to do & which products to buy. Remember, as often quoted here, happy wife, happy life. Trust me, a truer statement may never have been made! Besides, when she remembers how good you took care of her, she'll be less likely to give you a hard time about the things you want to do.

I am really lucky. My wife has actually liked all of the improvements/mods I have done to the D and I never asked for permission to do any of them. The only one she ever questioned was the Hanson front bumper, and when she saw one on a Dak she really liked it and suggested we get it.
Your wife is what we like to call a 1%'er. Congrats on the nice find! :)

The last 5 months have been very expensive.

5 new guns (one I built which wasn't cheap), a new PC I built myself, a new laptop, New tires on the Caliber, 16' utility trailer, 24 gun gun safe, paid off the caliber (5k), paid off our house (another 5k), a new car (the D), a few trips here and there, and a assortment of other odds and ends.

I am not allowed to whipe my ass with good TP at the moment. However im spending another $400 soon i just wont tell her until this weekend since ill be out of town working at another store for some OT.
I'm so.Glad to be "Happily Divorced" since '99!!!!! I answer to "Myself"... & I sleep Very Well.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I just ordered a Gibson exhaust, and my wife asked me how much it would cost to lower the D. I guess that means I will be working on that soon.:D

Ditto here too. I thought the Borla would've been over the top for her but not the case. She did question the look of the stripes before I had them applied but once she saw them, she liked them.

Turn in your man card!!

Just kidding :) Maybe find something thats toned down a bit? And...run it by her!

Have you tried bribing her with a purse or something she might like and want? or maybe buying something for the baby that she mentioned?

I'm sure you have been married longer than i have but one thing i have learned is that marriage is about offer and compromise. I have gotten away with doing the CAI and Catch Can buy Buying her some semi expensive shoes and taking her out to lunch almost every day during tax season and picking up the tab. Oh and also having payed for most of the Christmas presents this past season.
Remember offer and compromise.

Isn't it sad .. once kids and everything gets in the picture ... that scoring isn't as common as it used to be lol.

Nope, bribing her doesn't work anymore, unfortunately

I got the "Paul" treatment with the Corsa I JUST installed this weekend... "blah blah, it's brand new, why did you, blah blah." I told her I wanted a Viper, but we need to haul people and stuff and had to buy the D instead, let me live a little. Chalk one down to sympathy... I just need to ask for my testicles from the jar once I a while now.... ;)

you may have your nuts in a jar, but at least you still have your man-card intact!

Don't feel to bad. I bought the R/T without letting my wife know and.....well you guys can imagine what the outcome of my actions were and no they weren't in the good way lol But now she loves it and supports me tuning it out. My question is what are you gonna do with the exhaust? lol

I always blame California for the need to make changes to my new vehicle. I then show her how the exhaust, intake, and tuner are not available in California because of their strict emissions standards. At that point she seems to get it, well that and the improved performance.

So paul, I had something happen and immediately thought of this discussion. I now have an RT and last night put a K&N intake on it. When I was done, I took it for a ride and proceeded to redline it down the road. When I got back, my wife said "please tell me that wasn't you I could hear over the tv". Um, yup it was. She said "if the intake made it that loud then I need to take it back off". Um, nope. That's not gonna happen. I never really romped on it with her in it, so I guess I kinda asked for it, but no mod is getting taken back off. She just hadn't heard those hemi farts before. Guess she was having flash backs from my very loud trucks
