Ordered New Durango May 28

New to the durango forums. Just wanted to say I just ordered a new durango citadel v6 awd in black forest green. Its been 2weeks dealer says factory sees the order but no build date has been given. I have already got new 20" chrome spider monkey wheels with a 34 offset and Yokohama parada x tires. Also got the brake caliper covers in red. my only concern is the color
color. I dont see anyone else with this color. Is there anyone here who has this color?

I will post pics once she arrives.

It's a pretty popular color here (popular as in, we like it), even though there aren't a lot around. If it was available in the R/T there would be more.

Welcome and congratulations! Can't wait to see the pictures of the color.

It would be nice to see what it looks like in citadel trim with this color. just suprised that there is no real pic of this this color on a durango here. So if anyone has this color it would be appreciated if you could post some pics of it thanks.

If you want to see it person, a local dealer might have a JGC in BFG. I actually got to see one on the road. You're going to love it.

You should also probably be D1 (slotted for build) by now. Your dealer can tell you the current status if they're willing to take the time.

Its been almost 4 weeks now and dealer just checked and says that the factory sees the order but no build date is goven. It was in this stage 3 weeks ago. dealer says there isnt any restrictions so not sure why its taking so long. Anyone else here that has ordered around the same time I have? wondering what your status is?

Yeah, I'm not sure you dealer is giving you very good information. When I went D1 (scheduled for build), I never saw an actual build date, just the date it was to be loaded on a railcar--which is very close to build date, but decidedly not that. It also included dates for various shipping milestones, including the final yard it would go to until they put it on a truck.

This was all information the dealer has provided me over the past few weeks, so I'm sure your dealer has access to the same thing as well. If your guy doesn't know how to access it, tell him to ask somebody else. The summaries I received were called "Vehicle Shipment Status and History". See if that rings a bell for him.

I ordered mine 5/27 and I am picking it up tonight! It is Black RT.......so maybe there is some feature on yours holding it up.....paint color? Good luck!

Hopefully you're D1 rather than D. The two statuses can be pretty close to each other, but the former has you scheduled as to when your truck will actually be on the line. From D1, I'd say it's usually about 4 weeks, but depends on where they're shipping to. Close to Detroit can probably shave 5-7 days off the shipping time.

Just and update. Its been 7 1/2 weeks and im finally past d status and up to D1. Build date is est Aug 1. Hopefully 3 weeks after I should get it. Ordered May 28/15. Im in Kingston Ontario Canada so should be a fairly quick delivery im hoping.
So it looks like 11-12 weeks if there isn't any more hold ups.

Canadian Orders seem to take a bit more time
Probably because there are some minor differences and they have to be staged into the line

My mom was really interested in the black forest green and we drove an hour down the coast to see it in person to be sure of the color. I totally get what you mean about not being able to find any good pictures. There just aren't any available for whatever reason. Let me say that the picture of this color on the Dodge website appears to be MUCH more green than the car actually is in person (I just went back and looked again, its not even close). We had to really stare/walk around the BFG one we went to see. It's probably 90% black, 10% dark green. I could only catch a little hint of greenish from certain angles/light. Hopefully this is what you were hoping for..

I agree the Green is much darker in person but keep in mind that the variations in Brilliant black contain some Blue and green mettalic. My Daughters Avenger in Brilliant Black has real nice Blue Mettalic Hues in certain light.
That one could be Brilliant Black with some Green mettalic Hues

haha I totally understand the skepticism because we both stood there tilting our heads back and fourth. The salesman even ran it through their 2 second car wash to try to get the green to come out more.
