I recently did a 392 engine swap on my DD R/T. I had already did a rear resonator delete when I had the 5.7. Now it sounds deeper than it did but doesn’t sound quite 392 to me. I was thinking should I completely delete the mid muffler and replace it with an X pipe or keep the mid muffler and place an X pipe behind it. Which option would most likely give me the sound without being too obnoxious?

Well if you use the Mopar performance exhaust as a guide it would be ditch the mid-muffler and keep both resonators or similar in its place.

Thanks for the advice, I’m probably going to look into some good aftermarket resonators. I don’t want to put the big bulky suitcase resonators back on.
