Okay, I'll try to make this as short as possible.
The week before Christmas I took my D to a 5 star dealer to have the body controller or multifunction switch fixed so my wipers won't go off when I turn on the AC or whenever they feel like it, have my converter drain back valve replaced (if left for more than a couple days it goes into gear, but doesn't move for about 20 secs), have the gov in the tranny replaced (getting codes about it seeing more than 3 psi while not moving), blown front right brake line replaced and have them install my Brembo rotors and Hawk pads (yes, I'm lazy.) Well I rented a car knowing it'd take them more than one day, but less than three. Well no calls from them in three days, so I call. Everyone gone home for Christmas. Left with rental til after Christmas. Call and they said I could pick it up. I got there to find that in 6 days all they did was replace the brake line and the CP work (rotors and pads.) They signed off on the rental under maxicare, but I still had to pay for day one and all days over the 30 limit. Not too happy, but figured it was due to the holidays.
Anyway, took it back the other week for all undone work and to install my Hotchkis sway bars (yes, lazy again.) In four days no call from them. I stupidly forgot to call them on that Friday, so had to wait til Monday (rental car cost adding up.) I called them and was told that the tranny tech was going over it again and they'd call me back. Two hours later they called and said it was ready to pick up. So I go there only to find out that all they did in 6 days was the CP work (sway bars.) Nothing else. They said they couldn't reproduce the converter drain back issue, tranny gov (even though error code was present), wipper issue, etc. Then told me that since no warranty work was done the rental car wasn't covered and I had to pay over 400 to Enterprise for 7 days rental. Now I'm pretty pissed!
I'm gonna call customer care tomorrow and see what I can get out of them to help cover the rental cost and get everything fixed before my warranty runs out in mid Feb! I have stored codes, known issue with the gov (TSB on it), when I left there and turned on the air, my darn wipers went off (did it about 10 times that day), the TC drain back valve is dirty, so they never touched it and pressure tested it, blah blah blah.
How can they justify having my D 7 days and only installing the sway bars!
Okay, just wanted to vent and share my experience!
Oh, and when they replaced the brake line, it was about out of fluid, but what they put in there's black. Was hoping they'd at least flush it.
Thanks!
