I know this is an old subject, I just picked up my 2017 R/T last night, before I left the dealer adjusted the roof, re checked for leaks ( none where there ) it now sits level. It is NOT designed to be up in the corners and in fact; this is listed to be checked at delivery. Most dealers don't catch it, I am fortunate that mine did, communicated to me and it looks great and perfectly fitted.

Wonder how that's done....if its a simple reprogram or requires dropping headliner and manual adjustments?
My dealer wouldn't touch it...said if its not leaking don't mess with it.
Which leads me to believe they have had issues in the past trying to make them flush.

But I agree, should sit flush..total pain when washing with it sitting up 1/4".

I wasn't there to watch....The salesman ( a friend of mine ) was watching them, took 2 guys, one to loosen the 3 or 6 bolts on the inside track, one to hold glass in correct position and re tighten when done, took only minutes to do. No leaks before or after.

AFAIK, the 2017 spec is still -0.0mm +2.5mm at the rear. Do you have new data that claims otherwise?

My driver's rear counter is noticeable higher than the passenger rear corner(which is also not flush). Wonder if its worth screwing around with?

Maybe on a day where I have a spare hour or two and my wife hasn't hassled or harassed me enough already, this could be a wonderful way to get frustrated and angry

My sunroof looked like those pics that have been posted and I had no problems. Then late last year I had a leak after a storm. Not much got in and I thought maybe I hadn't closed the roof completely. Then it happened again and then a third time. I saw user Vertrkr's post and searched the forum. It's an easy job to do. Use Moparalan's earlier post as instructions. I did it alone. Not hard to do. Use a socket wrench instead of a screwdriver to keep you from stripping the screws like I did. :|

As I stated in post #29 back in the Spring, the sunroof was not flush and higher on the driver's side than the passenger side, but it had not leaked. Two weeks ago after a heavy rain, I found the leading edge of the sun shade, that was in the fully pushed back position was soaking wet and dripping on the seats. I had thought I had left the sunroof up in the vent position. I used a towel off blot dry the sunshade. No other issues until we had a heck of a storm yesterday, 3" of wind driven rain coming down in sheets. Guess what, that's right it leaked again. Then I was out driving in the storm, I applied the brakes and some of the water must have shifted forward and then dripped out of the driver's side side visor inboard attachment clip. I dried the sunshade again and around the inside frame as much as possible. It rained again overnight (not heavily) but the sun shade didn't get wet.

My question is can you see and get at the sun roof drain holes without having to remove anything? I would imagine that there are four of them - one at each corner. I need to make sure I don't have one or two of the drain holes plugged with dirt/debris.

I also notice something strange this morning when I cycled the sunroof through its different positions.

This is what the sunroof looks like after being fully opened and then closed - notice that it's close to being flushed.

This is what the sunroof looks like after opening it to the vent position and then closed - notice that the height is different, it's up higher.

This is what the sunroof looks like after it has been fully opened and closed again - notice it is back to being lower / closer to being flush again.

Just wondering it this also has something to do with the leak. Is there a relearn procedure for the sunroof?

I had that weird flush non flush issue after I adjusted the screws to make it flush. It would only go flush after going to vent and then closing it. Closing it from the back position looked like your second pic. I figured I go to the dealer that weekend since it wasn't urgent but it magically started to go flush on its own. I read that the sunroof auto aligns or learns. It may correct itself after a couple of days.
