As I stated in post #29 back in the Spring, the sunroof was not flush and higher on the driver's side than the passenger side, but it had not leaked. Two weeks ago after a heavy rain, I found the leading edge of the sun shade, that was in the fully pushed back position was soaking wet and dripping on the seats. I had thought I had left the sunroof up in the vent position. I used a towel off blot dry the sunshade. No other issues until we had a heck of a storm yesterday, 3" of wind driven rain coming down in sheets. Guess what, that's right it leaked again. Then I was out driving in the storm, I applied the brakes and some of the water must have shifted forward and then dripped out of the driver's side side visor inboard attachment clip. I dried the sunshade again and around the inside frame as much as possible. It rained again overnight (not heavily) but the sun shade didn't get wet.
My question is can you see and get at the sun roof drain holes without having to remove anything? I would imagine that there are four of them - one at each corner. I need to make sure I don't have one or two of the drain holes plugged with dirt/debris.
I also notice something strange this morning when I cycled the sunroof through its different positions.
This is what the sunroof looks like after being fully opened and then closed - notice that it's close to being flushed.
This is what the sunroof looks like after opening it to the vent position and then closed - notice that the height is different, it's up higher.
This is what the sunroof looks like after it has been fully opened and closed again - notice it is back to being lower / closer to being flush again.
Just wondering it this also has something to do with the leak. Is there a relearn procedure for the sunroof?
