Not all that happens in Las Vegas stays there :-( I had my DD parked for a week at a Hotel while I was in Europe.

A few days after I got home to ST George Utah, I noticed something was wrong with the door handle. Upon closer inspection
it appeared that someone had taken maybe a large screwdriver to the door lock and smashed it with a hammer or such, with
the result that the lock cylinder was destroyed, the handle slightly damaged, but worse the door panel bent inward too !!!

If I had had to use the key to open the door, then I might have detected the damage right there, but since I just had to pull the handle to
open it, it took me a few days before noticing.

Real bummer which will cost me around $700 to get fixed. He didn't get in though.

I had a hit&run a few weeks back... Nice crease in the rear door and quarter panel. It's going to cost $1400 (&250 after deductible) and more than 10 days to get it fixed.
It's a nauseating feeling, isn't it, Pridbor?

I may be lucky that it can be dealt with the "paintless dent removal" as no paint seems to have been damaged. I will hand over the DD to the
super good Body Shop, they painted my entire Citroen a few years ago so I know what they can do, and then we will see in a few days what
it's really going to cost me and if it's done such that it's "invinsible"

No I parked it myself, smaller Hotel without Valet, but I believe that even with Valet that they aren't liable for any damage, but I may be wrong.

Nasty crease NumberThree ! And yes it makes me want to do something I don't want to do if you get my drift ! My car is otherwise like new and
I try to keep my cars that way, and have no trouble selling my cars when I want as people knows how I treat them, so an extra Darn it

The real issue with liability is being all the way back home and having several days pass before noticing it. If the hotel was going to stand tall for you, no doubt it needed to be reported while you were still on the property. Shame it went unnoticed. Greater shame is the buttflake that tried to break in to your car in the first place. Sorry that it happened my man.
