Any of you young folks out there done this? I'm 33 and looking for the music of my teens (totally 80's, baby) and I like a good top-20's type with Alterbridge, Creed, Nickelback, etc. And I'm a hard & classic fan.

I figured this XM setup would rock, but?

?I'm totally dissapointed with the 80's channel - seems like Tiffany instead of Falco?

?I haven't heard any good classic rock on that channel?

?and the only top 20 channel has either all RAP or some strange dance stuff?

?no AC/DC on the hard rock channel, only DIO or RIO or god-knows what they think is good 'hard rock'

Advice? Do I just need to wait a bit? I have a 40 minute drive to work and then 40 back home tomorrow, I'll see if the situation improves.

Thanks!!

Connor

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't all the good classic rock come from the 70's :)

Yup! And Sirius has a 70's channel that plays a lot of my favs. Their 80's channel isn't bad either. As far as classic rock goes, they also have two channels, (Classic Rewind and Classic Vinyl), that cover it quite well.

I'm going to ditto the Sirius recos. I got factory Sirius in my vehicle and installed the sporster in my wife's. Sirius ROCKS baby! You can go to their website at sirius.com and hear samples of all the channels. The other thing that I like about Sirius is that as a subscriber, they give you a password to get live feeds over the net anytime, anywhere you're at a PC! VERY handy at the office. You can stop into any RadioShack and listen to the live demo of Sirius there as well.

XM

I have never heard Cirius but I love my XM, you have to try the Bone Yard for some of the older stuff or maybe top tracks 46. I listen to mostly comedy and the 80's myself but I'dn't trade this for RF. I drive about 1.5 hours to work and back each day and this really helps the drive. Well worth my $9.99.
