I just ordered the rock sliders from Rocky Road to compliment my lift kit and 32.5" tires.

Once I get them in, and installed I'll follow up on this post.
I've only seen one other DD on here with them, so I'm excited to see them in person.

And, since people always ask why, my driveway is a 25%+ grade, and just this weekend I was up on three wheels while pulling to the side to let another truck pass on the road up. I've also used the DD twice to pull cars out of the ditches on the road. My driving when out of the city is beyond what most Durangos will ever see. No, it still isn't a 'wheelin' setup, but it gives the ground clearance and capability that I want.

That last one is the phone sitting level with the windowsill to show the angle of incline.

I have had these sitting in my garage for almost 2 months now, and may actually put them on in the next couple of weeks. They are beefy.
I also upgraded the wheels to SRT 20x10 with a 33” tire.

I finally got them installed.
Pictures show after, before and during.
The next post will show a couple during.
It took about 3 hours to complete, and absolutely requires two people.
I also recommend multiple steps of drill bits. 1/4, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, and finally the required 17/32 finished bit.
After pulling off the rocker panels, you fit the rails and mark then holes. Then time to drill 6 new holes in the vehicle.

With the 33” tires and Rocky Road lift, there is 16” to the bottom of the sliders.
A lot of tabs did break on the first rocker panel when I removed it. Going very slowly, like I did on the second side, went much better.
I’m super happy with these things. They are super solid, and well worth the cost.

I've been waiting for a detailed install for the Rocky Road Rock Rails. I've emailed RR numerous times regarding whether or not the stock rocker panels are removed and no response. Some pictures appeared to show the Rock Rails just below the stock rocker panels so I was not sure. Anyway, it appears the stock rocker panels are permanently removed and replaced with the Rock Sliders. My favorite sliders are the WK2 from Offroad Animal, but they are too short for Durango. OFA tells me someone installed them on a Durango regardless of them being short, but no pictures available. I also have the RRO 2.5" lift on 33" tires and have been looking for sliders.

Yes, the stock rocker moldings are permanently removed. That part took no more than 10 minutes.
If I remember correctly, the WK2 would be about 6” short, and the holes in the pinch seam may not all line up.
