Today I saw some drops on the garage floor under the D and at first thought it was motor oil but then discovered it was the power steering hose leaking. It was the high pressure line and looks like it was leaking at the first crimp which is down low near oil filter. The return line looked fine.

I ended up taking it to Sears. They replaced the line and did a power steering flush for $170 total. I don't know what the dealership would have charged me but I'm sure it'd've been more. They said they were too busy to take me today (Saturday) anyway.

This is probably something I could have done myself but I've never messed with power steering so I didn't want to chance it.

My D is almost 10 years old and has about 78,888 miles on it. It's done well by us but lately there's been a lot of things that we've had to fix or replace.

I've had a leaking power steering pressure hose for sometime and has gotten worse. Leak is at the threaded fitting into the rack(?) & is leaking past threads. local shop said $145 for hose + $60 labor. $89.99 for fluid exchange

**Do you guys recommend fluid exchange/flush?? Told me would be ok for P.S. system or will enough come out of pressure line to just top up? (P.S. Fluid has NEVER been changed out on my 4.7).
**What is P.S. capacity to perform entire flush, 3-4qts??
