Headed to the engine builders shop in the morning to finalize it and pay him.

After talking to him as well as a few others, I decided against the 408 Stroker. I wanted it just cause it's cool.

For what I use the D for, he worked up this build.

New 360 in about three weeks.

Block bored, honed, decked and aligned honed.

New cam bearings

Performance camshaft 220/240 @ 0.50, 490 lift, 112 lobe center.

Matching roller lifters

Resized rods with ARP rod bolts

Reground 3.578" stroke

Crankshaft micro polished less than a 12 RA finish

OEM pistons with Molly rings

Match weight balanced rotating assembly

New timing set

New high volume oil pump

New Felpro gasket set

New pushrods and stamped rockers

New head bolts

Cast iron heads with 2.00/1.60 valves

Matching springs

3 angle seats

New guides

Positive seals

Dial in cam

Painted black

Stage 2 porting - porting it all from intake to exhaust.

Kegger intake included

$3495.00 out the door with a $400.00 core charge.

I'll run my Mike Leach headers on it. Exhaust will be the stainless 3" cat back I have with a Magnaflow muffler.

Just picked up a Fastman 52mm throttle body for $200 with shipping.

I'll drive my buddy's Xterra while I tear down the D and prepare it for the new engine.

Gotta get my headers re-ceramic coated. Take my tranny to a friend so he can give it the once over.

Going to be great to get fresh horses under the hood.

They would remove the rubber isolator from the crankshaft sensor and move it to advance timing, also. Move it the other way and it will retard. Located at the bell housing are of engine. For the TSB there is no programmer required when installing the v-10 fan set up, just put it on and run it.

Thanks, buts it's actually a two part question.
i was wondering if the v10 fan is a different diameter so it would require the new shroud indicated in the tsb. The tsb lists the fan, the drive and the shroud.
i knew how to adjust the cam sensor just wasn't sure how to do it in the driveway other than moving it and driving it. Thought I would need a dyno to check it but being lifted and on 34s she doesn't like being on a dyno.

i thought I would try the programmer instead of my reburned computer since in order to make changes to my computer I need to send it back east. So I was hoping the person who found the great deal on eBay could post an item number or auction number.

Those cracked heads probably didn't help any with your temperature problems

I didn't think @ when I did the fan swap, I just got all of the parts and did it. That is an outrageous $ for the shroud, mine was in the 70 buck range iirc.

Did a lot of sandblasting today. Got Prep and Prime on everything and will galvanize the motor brackets, crossmember and skid plate tomorrow. Then start painting it all.

The oil pan was thick with sludge.

Aluminum bracket, debating on simply clear coating it or painting it.

Picked up a new water pump under warranty today. Will clear coat it as is tomorrow.

Also ordered a new idler pulley and tension pulley.

About to order a new alternator.

I basically want as much new stuff on the new motor so hopefully I'll be up and running for awhile before something goes out.

Still debating on stock distributor or MSD.

Sandblasted some more parts while waiting for new motor.

These have been treated with Prep and Prime. Now to paint them and then clear coat them.

Clear coated this piece the other day. It's smooth and will not retain dirt or oil anymore.

Here is my tranny skid plate galvanized. Will paint it red, then clear coat. Also will do the same to the fuel tank skid plate.

Oil pan just needs clear coating now.

Found that the crank shaft sensor is cracked, time for a new one.

Broke down the distributor and made it new again.......except I saw this. Looks like the shaft was wearing improperly on one side.

Plus the dark red looking plastic thing with the pin through it broke apart as it was brittle.

So I'll get another distributor from O'Rielly's for $109.

Motor should be ready any day now. Pretty much got everything waiting and ready now. So I have been working on roof rack again.

Transmission should be ready Tuesday. He is putting in a new torque convertor, electronics, clutches, bands and a shift kit, all high performance. Cost me 1500 bills.

Here is a lot more parts I blasted, painted and cleared. Though most were brand new and got cleared right out of box.

I ordered this transmission pan today. Will get here Wednesday.

The Mopar transmission temp gauge has the sensor that screws into side of the pan. I would have to weld a bung fitting to it.

This pan is not only a deeper one, it also has the bung fitting welded to it already as well as a magnetic drain plug.

Holds three extra quarts.

I haven't gotten it to the dyno yet. Hopefully Friday.

But when take take off, even when I floor it, it takes off exactly like a new muscle car with the anti-skid setting.

It's real slow on take off, but once it gets going, it'll move.

Even on wet pavement I can't spin the tires.
