Ok So I did the update on my drive in this morning. The only thing different I can tell is it seems I am now getting song info when streaming from bluetooth. Still no voice text function. Visually everything is still the same, and unfortunately still blue. Will keep an eye out for release notes and play with it more later.

Still waiting to see if there are any update notes. In the meantime I emailed gracenotes to see if there is a way to subscribe to updates or get alerts as to when there updates since uconnects website always tells us we are up to date. Will keep you all posted as I find out more info.

One other quick note. My Low deep bass seems to boom a bit more. I noticed my windows were actually vibrating during one song. Mid bass... still could use some help.

i had issues with my bluetooth, USB, Navigation working. i replaced the hard drive and my bluetooth & GPS came back working. But my USB has only power and the unit doesn't pick up my phone plugged in, or my music on the USB..............i'm sure this update couldn't hurt it, but Does anyone know if this may fix my problem with USB getting to work again???? Or what i could do to get my USB to recognize again???

I always connect my I6 via bluetooth. I'll try connecting via usb later and will let you know if it works.

Do you connect via the plug on the radio or the plug in the arm rest? I use the Arm rest and it usually connects fine. Sometimes I have to turn the radio off for a few seconds and the back on to get it to recognize my iPhone. Then it can play music. I control the songs via the phone as the unit controls seem to lag. Hoping this new update improves that.

I can tell you the one time my wife plugged into the arm rest port with her I6 it connected to her phone and we didnt realize it till her music started playing.

Ok so on my way home from work I plugged the phone into the head unit USB and turned off Bluetooth. Everything worked fine. I was streaming pandora at the time.

Maybe try a different lighting cable. Make sure it's apple certified.

No luck here installing the update on my '12 Durango Citadel. My DVD drive doesn't reliably read CDs or DVDs, so its failed every time to update from optical media (don't get me started on that - dealer said they had fixed it before I bought it). So I figured no biggy, I'll install it from a thumb drive. I couldn't get the thumb drive to show up until I copied an MP3 file to it, but then all it did was play that ONE MP3 on the drive and not read an update the 730s firmware. This shouldn't be this damn hard to update ! Should I now try to copy the file from the thumb drive to the units HDD and run it from there ? I do have a full bumper to bumper warranty on it, but consider it such a trivial thing to run to a dealer and lose it for a day.

Dunno, I have the 430RBZ so I had 2 updates when I got my unit used. (also as a note mine came out of a Jeep only difference is my back light on the buttons is green instead of blue I believe.) Anyway, I hooked up the unit for the first time (It booted with the Jeep logo the first time) plugged in my first USB drive with the RHB-RBZ.33.01.23 update. It detected it right away I installed it which took a bit. Once it rebooted it has started with the Dodge logo's from then on. Then I installed the RHB-RBZ.50.01.01 update right after with no issues. Both just put in a single folder on the root of the thumb drives. Both had no other files on them.

I had no luck with the thumb drive, so I stuck with the dvd-r. Make sure you are using only dvd-r. not rw and that it is a single layer disc. I did some experimenting. Also make sure it is burning only as an iso file.

OK, I am still unable to get my firmware updated. I'm using a DVD-R, single layer disc with the ISO file named RHR-RHW-RHP-2.700 copied to it. It will actually read the disk and ID it as data, but it goes no further. I left it spin for 10 minutes before I gave up. I also put the same file on a thumb drive, along with an MP3 file to get the system to recognize it (it will not even see it if it doesn't have an mp3 on it) but it will only play that one song on there and not read the ISO file. I'm trying to update the firmware to get my phone to work. I had a Windows Nokia 930 phone that worked great for the 'Rango - it would read text messages to me and allow me to reply. After work replaced my Nokia phone with a Samsung J7 in November, the BT text alerts stopped working completely. I tried unpairing and e-pairing via Uconnect. The issue is the newer phone with the older 730N firmware.

Some background - I work in the IT field for 20+ years, so this isn't a PEBKAC issue. I've burned hundreds of DVDs and built dozens of computers for a hobby. Is it possible I have to upgrade to an older firmware before making the jump to the newest one ? I'm going to try using Express Burn as recommended on the MyGig website -> https://mygig-disk.com/download-rhr.php

I am so glad to see someone else using pebkac issue! LOL ok with that being said, you shouldn't have to according to the instructions, however I did update to an earlier version then 3 months later 2.700 came out. I will also mention that I did have to burn it twice. I wasnt sure if the first one was a bad disc or what. One thing I forgot to mention before is to also make sure you burn it on the absolute slowest burn speed. Any time I didnt burn slow the updates didnt work.

I always burn on the slowest speed. So I had the start of a very successful update after using the recommended Express Burn software in my link above on mygig-disk.com. Doesn't make any sense to me, as I've always used Nero or ImgBurn to create an ISO, so ... whatever. It appears to be the key to the issue if you are having firmware update issues like I was.

Anyhow, I was stunned to see it actually start its update !!! Holy Moses !! It WORKED !! But ... there's always a but on these with me ... now I lost my nav, as it sits there on a 'Navigation is being activated' screen and will not finish. It successfully completed the firmware update, as it reports I am on 2.700, but without nav I feel like this was actually a downgrade. Should I do a soft reset of the Uconnect unit next ? I also tried a Gracenotes update, but that too appears to be waiting on the completion of the Nav activation before it will go any further.

I never lost my nav. So I'm not sure what happened there. Maybe try a soft restart or try running it again.

Sorry your having all these issues.

Got my issues resolved by running the F/W update over again - essentially loading 2.700 on top of 2.700 last night. It warmed up a lot since my failed update (I think it was 9° the morning my update failed, and it was 42° last night). So the moral of the story is - don't attempt any Uconnect updates when it is extremely cold out ! It was so warm out yesterday that I even got to wash all that nasty calcium chloride chalk off of the 'Rango and make it look nice and clean again.

To wrap up my issues, I was finally able to update the Gracenotes today. My initial update, made at the same time as when I created the 2.700 firmware update, was burned using the Express Burn software but it would fail at around 2%. Since its such a long update process, I didn't have an opportunity to go for any long drives, but I had a 40 minutes drive today, and I did get it updated and working today. What I did to get it to work:

1) Re-downloaded the Gracenotes update, just in case I had a glitch or lost packet on the first download. Its a large 3.11GB file, so no harm in doing this.
2) Burned it using a DVD+R disk instead of a DVD-R. I know Cannonball recommends -R, but I had a full cake stack of +R disks, so I used one.
3) Burned using Nero instead of Express Burn. Nero had always worked for me in the past, but it did not work for the 730N firmware update.

It was nice to see the album art finally appear correctly, for the most part. I'd say I only had 1 in 10 songs identified properly from my collection on the old Gracenotes, but now about 7 in 10 had the proper album art appearing. Its not perfect, but it'll do. That 40 minute drive was to the PA new car show at the Harrisburg farm show complex, and after I left there, I said to my buddy that I didn't see another vehicle that made me regret buying my Durano. In fact, it has been almost one year to the day that I brought it home. I just love this beast !! Altho, the 392 SRT in bruiser gray at the show did look mighty menacing .... trying to talk my wife into taking mine so I can buy that one :p

Which link? I'll check for it when i get home.

Is your display predominantly blue (likely 730) or red (likely 430)? I think "N" is for Navi.. Also, the build sheet would show which you have, the system info screen of my 730 shows 2 sections Software: Application Gracenotes database and SDS then Hardware: serial number system and sirius
