You would be incorrect. Your door will lock with the key fob inside. But once you close the door, it will unlock and the horn blows 3x.
I will have to try it but I recall the switch doing nothing when the door is open. But I could be recalling my Ram and the way it worked. I will post up my results (y)

Very nice Powerfreak! Glad the dealer will correct the front tag issue for you. That is a major NO. I am hearing more of this hood adjustment issue and if this is occurring so often, a major QC issue. Anyway, once all corrected, love to see some more post ups :) Congrats man!

Thanks. It's going back in Monday for the hood/exhaust adjustments. Hopefully they don't give me the "it's within spec" BS. If the front corner was any closer, it would hit the fender. You can see the difference in the rear/front gaps:

the front of my hood on my TNG looks similar to your picture. I have a little more of a gap than that pic but not much more.

210 miles in...and HOLY BRAKE DUST! :ROFLMAO:
you can mitigate the brake dust some by coating the wheels. I've been using Meguiar's Ultimate All Wheel Cleaner and then Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax spray on.

I start early Saturday morning before I go anywhere. coat all the wheels in the All Wheel Cleaner, go back around wiping them down really good with a shop towel then go back around and spray them off with the hose.

by the time I'm done hosing the last wheel off the first wheel is dry enough to spray on the Hybrid Ceramic Wax. I spray all the wheels then go back and hose them off gently. it really does cut way down on the amount of dust that sticks to the wheels.

Cool, thanks...I'll give them a try.

There has to be a reason why so many SRTs have these issues. Are they stuffing too much under there? Are the body panels not made correctly? I had problems at both front fender corners, the hood latch was too low making it look worse- and the rear tailgate was off. That turned out to be the quarter panels themselves- the tailgate couldn't be adjusted to correct the gaps any more. When my dealer told me the fix would require fender repaint and rear quarter panel re-paint I handed them back the keys. For this amount of money the fit and finish shouldn't be an issue on so many of these cars. I am probably "downgrading" back to an RT Plus. Or a Rubi 392. Lots of square edges. Even CDJR can't mess that up.
Just be careful what you wish/ask for. Mine was worse than yours...but the dealer's shop was planning on bending the hood and re-painting it without asking me about it. I said "hell no" and thankfully found out before it had been done. For me its OEM paint...or I pick the shop.

That’s the dealers fault, the front plate holder comes loose in the vehicle, installed at the dealer
I think that was more in reference to the fact that my hood and exhaust were installed completely crooked. Yes, the front plate bracket being installed was 100% my dealers' fault.

I don't think it's just an SRT issue for any specific reason. The problem is the fit and finish and quality control are no different from the base model durangos...so even though they're $70k+, there is no extra effort put into them unfortunately. And, we hear about the issues more on here (and social media) because most if not all SRT's buyers are enthusiasts who will notice little things not being perfect. I'm sure there plenty more issues on the cheaper/base models, but no one notices or cares enough about little things being perfect, that they'd complain about it and/or bring it to a dealer's attention. Adjusting the hood fitment shouldn't be too hard...I'd run away from any bodyshop saying they needed to "bend" the hood. I'm not expecting it to be perfect (I don't think any of them are), they just need to create a little more space between the front of the fender so there's no issues with it hitting later on.

I'm just curious as to what the other side of your hood looks like. Does it have an even gap all the way down or is it skewed like what you have shown? If it even, then it's a fender fitment issue.

Definitely not even on the other side, but not as close in the front. I assume the fenders can be shimmed in the front...although the hood seems to take way too much effort to close, so something is "off" there.

Took over a month and a half (after it was built) to arrive ...but my SRT is here.

My only mod plans (as of now)...I have a mighty-mouse catch can, AEM drop-in filter and V1gen2 radar detector (w/ plug-n-play harness) waiting to go in and I'll order a Hellcat front lip in the near future.

Did you say V1Gen2? On a 2014 R/T. Blendmount and mirror tap.

Took over a month and a half (after it was built) to arrive ...but my SRT is here. I should have had a more enjoyable day, but my usually great dealer installed the front plate (after I told them not to), and it has some Dodge quality control issues. (Hood and exhaust need some major adjustments). Once my dealer tracks down a new bumper, they'll adjust...but just sorta pissed me off as soon as I saw it, instead of being psyched. Funny thing is that my 2016 R/T had the same crooked exhaust issues and my 2019 R/T had the same crooked hood issues...now I have both.

My initial thoughts (first 30 miles) coming from a 2019 R/T. Love the exhaust sound, I wont feel the need to go aftermarket (yeah, maybe I'm just getting old). HK Stereo sounds decent...but more EQ testing/adjusting (and probably some stuffing in the sub) will be needed. Love the seats. Handles very nice...love the way it rides, it definitely feels a little more "planted" (vs my R/T). Love the looks, the red calipers really pop. Initially I didn't like the newer front bumper and I was a little worried about not loving the Destroyer Gray(I really wanted Granite), but both look better in person (vs photos).

My only mod plans (as of now)...I have a mighty-mouse catch can, AEM drop-in filter and V1gen2 radar detector (w/ plug-n-play harness) waiting to go in and I'll order a Hellcat front lip in the near future.

Nice. Beautiful car. Yeah when I ordered my rt 2021 I made sure and told the dealership and the finance lady to NOT have anyone mount a front plate. I can’t stand it. Takes away form the front end. I got a removable license bracket mount that fits perfect in the very bottom lower grill area.

haha, thanks for reminding me how much I hate my front plate and that my dealer hasn't made it right yet. At this point, I'm not confident they'll come through.
