Hi all,

Have just picked up a 2015 Durango Ltd, and had the Mopar chrome side steps installed by the local dealer. I was surprised at how HIGH they are from the ground, and how close they are to the rocker panels. I had them installed because my wife has issues with her knee's. We would like to have the side steps be about 3 inches (...or so) lower. According to the dealer, there is no way to adjust them lower, at all. QUESTION: Short of having custom mounting brackets made ($$$), does anyone know where I could find Mounting Brackets that would help to lower our Mopar Chrome Side Steps???

Take a pic of the brackets and post them. I'd be willing to bet there is room to drill new lower holes to drop the steps down. Having said all that I have never seen a bracket for running boards for any year Durango so I'm pretty much talking out of my butt! But you never know! Lol

So it looks as my idea wasn't even close! Lol.

So you could cut the vertical piece and weld in a section making it longer to lower the step.
