Hi again all. Well, I had a previous post with some issues to solve with my new (to me) Durango. So far I've replaced the radiator to solve an overheating issue, fixed the front end and fixed the engine surge issue (TPS.)

Went to start it today and the battery was dead, it's been sitting for 3 days. Never had an issue before andhe battery is less than 2 years old. Is there a common battery drain issue with these that I could look at?

Check your battery terminals and make sure they're clean. A little bit of corrosion could give you those same symptoms. That can of pepsi you're holding can do wonders. HTH

I guess I should have clarified a little. Got in, door chime sounds and dome light comes on. Just a little half revolution or so when I tried to crank it.

As far as hidden lights. Don't have a hood light, and actually don't think I have a glove box light either. A place to start tho, thanks. Have heard about PCM s and ecu s messing up and drawing too.

I chased a dying battery issue on my '99 for a few weeks before I finally found out it was my rear wiper, it had quit working a few months before I had the same issue. One day I go to start the truck and it was weak but started. It slowly got worse until, after it sat overnight, it'd be flat in the morning. I changed the battery thinking that was the issue, same deal.

Unplugged the rear wiper motor and the problem went away.

Of course I've since switched to the 2G wiper setup so it works again. :)

It's also very common to accidentally roll the interior light switch so that the dome light stays on. Lost count of the customers that would do that and find the battery not able to start them in the morning.
