HD,
I have an R/T and absolutely love it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a truck with 3 rd row. I find it to be sporty & handles well for a large vehicle. The Hemi gives it plenty of power for entering the hey & passing. It sounds nice & beefy without being annoying traveling around with the family. I find the ride to be very comfortable & people comment how smooth the ride is. I like all the tech features the truck has. It is up to you whether you prefer the look of the Citadel(little too flashy for me) or the R/T. Good luck I hope you find a vehicle that is right for you.

does the rally package come with the sports suspension? I think it's unique on the R/T no matter what engine/options you got on other trims.
The rallye package lowers it the same as the R/T so I assume it's the same suspension.

Also look at the Toyota 4Runner, another handsome SUV, but lacks 3rd row. Only reason we didn't go with that.

NVM - Saw that you need a 3rd row. Then I think the Durango will be your only option. It is unique as in it is the only Unibody with a RWD platform. Everything else is more or less built on a car frame and FWD.
4 Runner is so old and outdated. Fuel mileage is horrendous. It has become a status symbol at this point. IMHO

Although they did discontinue that option earlier, it looks like you can get a limited with the Hemi again according to the dodge site provided you don't choose the blacktop or rallye package. Anytime i added those packages, the Hemi dropped off the summary page.
Yeah, think about it...that would practically make it an RT.

I traded my 07 Suburban LTZ that I bought new for my '15 R/T. I loved my Chevy but there are definite quality issues for something that cost well over 50k when I bought her. The only thing I miss is the space for road trips but for me as the driver The D is better in every aspect. The R/T will have a stiffer ride due to the sport suspension. I looked at the new Suburban's and hate what they did to the interior not to mention the $70k price tag for the LTZ. Nissan Armada was beautiful but 13mpg and under powered IMO and $50k+ Loved the Audi Q7 but once again when I threw in the performance and electronics I wanted I was looking at $70k.

The Durango was the last vehicle I looked at and to be honest I never even considered it but I decided to look at Ram trucks and pulled into the dealership. Then from the other side of the lot I could see this beast sitting there looking at me. I walked over and circled it trying to figure out what it was and then the salesman hit the remote start while I was standing behind her and I fell in love the moment I heard the Hemi come alive.

nice story. I'd give some credits to the salesman as he knew what's the selling point of the D and what a customer is looking for.

So the only hiccup I am finding in trying to build an R/T is no Nav with the AWD and Blacktop package?
Pretty sure Nav. is standard on RT. Comes with 8.4AN.

>>>EDIT<<<
Just checked Dodge site. Apparently 8.4AN is not standard equip. on RT. Apologies.

The Citadel Hemi is quiet...like really quiet..as in I can't hear the engine note outside quiet.
Much quieter than my 300C Hemi at startup.
Think more like a Mercedes GL V8 quiet.
Also much quieter than my neighbors 2013 Ford Expedition XL.

However, perfect note while driving...low growl when you get on it, but overall a more lux quiet.
R/T is downright loud in comparison IMO...think Mustang GT.

Hmm I'll just have to find a Citadel Hemi to test drive. I'm thinking I don't want a moderately loud exhaust R/T on the family cruiser. Stinks too cause I really dig the blacktop package but it won't build the Hemi on the limited with it.

betting you can find someone to swap exhausts with you if that is the only thing you don't like about the RT
