Looked at a JGC at the stealer today and also picked up a JGC brochure. Here were my initial reactions:
- The vehicle itself has the ability to be a WiFi hotspot. That means camping in the woods or in a parking lot and you have internet access for your laptop or iPad right there in your lawnchair without any need for access cards, etc. Sorta cool.
- Love the green paint
- Each of the three trim levels has it's own type of real wood interior. The black wood option is uber-cool
- Stitching looks good, choice of wheels was 'meh', no photos of under the hood.
- There are tiny "Jeep grille" silhouettes built into the center of the main headlights. You have to look for them, but once you see it, it's like, "Cool!" I can't imagine the bean counters are going to let those last in following years so something special out of the gate for sure.
- On paper, it's a solid A-.
Now in person, I looked at a bland white one. I didn't want the salesman drooling all over me so I kept that part quick. I do like the 'scallop' in the side of doors. Adds a nice look and reminds me of some European models. IMHO it was a tad short lengthwise however. I hope the Durango version is 18-24" longer and pushed in the "performance" direction.
In person looking at a white entry level "Overland" V6 model, reaction was a B-
