How can I make my Durango ride nice and stiff? I read reviews about people complaining about how rough these Durangos ride, and I just dont feel it. It rides too smooth to be a dodge lol can i just replace the shocks?

Stiffer shocks, or you could go with those oversized rims and rubberband tires you see on some escalades and get a new set of teeth every season.

Replace all your bushings with metal race versions. Blow right past polyurethane, they are too soft to be hard core. ;)

Once in a shop I worked in, a " cliente" cam e in asking for a remedy for the rough ride.

The front end sat about 6" higher than the back as was "cool" during that time and with the young Hispanics in the area.

Upon inspection, the front had chopped up pieces of 2x4 shoved in the springs, holding the front at full shock extension. The rear had the coils cut with a saber saw until they were completely ineffective. I can't figure out how they cut the springs without loosing an appendage!

Anyway, it was a very rough ride, and probably spent a sum total of $3.50 on the mods. So there's that option for you! Lol!

Great idea! You can also go the other way and put on spring compressors then just leave them in place if you have 2WD! Bonus points if you zip tie them instead!
