From what I know of the camping just by passing by, it's primitive and no real shade that I can recall, so a close by state park might be a better bet.

Other than that, clean the D and we'll save you a spot to get lined up with the group. We usually show up early on Friday and start cleaning the bugs off from the trip to get everything cleaned up. After that, we just hang out and check out the show. Saturday is the "judging" and again, we get there, clean the vehicles and then hang out for the day. We'll have grills and food there so bring something to share if you like. Once it gets closer, we'll post a list of things we can all bring. It's a nice 2 days of relaxing and meeting people. We usually do dinner on Thursday night for those who come early, meet for dinner on Friday and Saturday night somewhere and Sunday is check the "judging" results and head out for those of us who travel.

Don't stress it, it's pretty laid back.

Ordered my pass today. Get it before June 4 and they'll mail the pass so you don't have to wait in line when you get there.

I'm pissed! I couldn't figure out why I haven't received my window sticker in the mail and it turns out I was in a hurry to register and only bought a 4 day pass. So I called them and, since it was after June 4, I had to pay an extra $10 for the showfield. I realize I hit the wrong button, but you'd think they'd cut me some slack. The lady I dealt with wasn't very pleasant on the phone when I mentioned maybe they should make a slight update to the website to keep idiots like me from making the same mistake. I hate it when other people don't take responsibility for my actions. :evil:

Anyway, NOW I'm registered for the showfield, confirmed my hotel registration, and will have to stop on the way in for my sticker and goodies. :wall:

I expect to be checked in to the hotel by dinner Thursday. Anyone wanna meet up for some grub? What day is everyone else coming in?

I'm at the Travel Inn so we can meet up there (PM me your phone number and I'll call you when I hit the hotel.) I should be there by 4pm on Thursday at the latest and I'm good with anything for dinner. Any of the ones listed will work and I agree that we should bring the Moe's D along to the show (especially loaded with food.)

The D will be ready to roll tomorrow. We have a date tonight with a bunch of friends at the drive-in near my house. They like the surround sound that flows from my D, so we'll meet there and enjoy the movies. Tomorrow I'll do the interior, pull the wheels to clean and rotate them and dust off the engine. I'll do the exterior when I get there.

Can we get tables from the fairgrounds? I can bring a small table, but it's easier to just get one there. Any thoughts?

After a little emergency surgery on the right front ball joint, I'm cleaned up and ready to roll. I'll be heading out in a few hours and expect to be at the hotel around 4 or 5.
