I just finished a round trip from St. Louis to Indy and back. I recently reset the average MPG maybe a week ago. I did not reset it for this trip and the week before was mostly city driving. After the trip up to Indy I had an average MPG in the 19 range. On the trip back I had to keep speed with a U-haul and had to keep it in the 65-70 range. When I got home the average MPG had shot up to 23.9! I have a 2014 RT and although it was not as much fun, I was amazed at the MPG. I know if I had reset the MPG it would have been higher. I could tell that the cylinder deactivation was working because of a different vibration or feel.
