Hey Jesse, welcome aboard! Glad to hear that SCT is working out for you as well as the alternator.
As Bill said above, we can answer most if not all questions about Durangos here

Oohh yea man! You were right on the money with saying it'd be like night and day with the tune! Haha Just seems I have to wait for her to warm up before she really flies off the line, but no complaints at all. lol Funny how it's not throwing any codes at all.

I'm at work and will throw one up pix soon (still stock look except for the channel ventshades. lol) Maybe I'll post one after I put in my new leaf/struts and do the T/S lift haha. Here's what I've got on my 4.7L so far though:
  • SCT tuned 93 oct program what a difference (thanks to FSTDANGO3 for help and sale!)
    180? T-stat
160A alt (again thanks to FSTDANGO3!)
    Big 3 upgrade
3k cfm electric fan with clutch fan delete
    aFe stage 2 CAI
Bilstein struts (to be installed next week)
    New leaf springs (next week)
    2" lift shackles (next week)
    T/s lift (same)
3k watt sound system (to be installed after suspension parts are done) with a ps2, rear flip down monitor, deck with a monitor, HDMI with a video switcher for streaming from my phone.
Cat back exhaust: Flowmaster super 40 single in dual out
Optima yellow top relocated to the rear to make room for train horns
    Ventshade in-channel deflectors on windows
3rd tail light LEDs (on the way)
    LED taillights (on the way)
Spec-d halo headlights with HID kit (on the way)

Technically, so were the 5.2 and 5.9. The higher temps translate to lower emissions. Unfortunately, they got too happy with the lean button on the fuel mapping for the PCM trying for better numbers.

No need for a 180? thermostat with a 4.7. Unlike the 5.2 and 5.9, the 4.7 was designed for the ~195? one.
Not true!
Jet makes a specific 180° thermostat for the 4.7 and, when I had my 4.7 that was dyno tuned, it was critical for best performance to keep the temps as low as possible.
You're correct that the 4.7 uses a specially designed T-stat, and Jet is the only manufacturer to duplicate that design for perfect operation.

As you can already see, this is the finest Durango forum on the planet? and possibly in the universe. We don't hold back valid technical corrections; or much else as long as it pertains to The Durango. ;)

Welcome aboard!

If you attend a large DOC event in the future you'll learn about the WATER.
It'll require event attendance?
