HID upgrade. Looking at TRS. Which kits?. I have a 2017, I saw some posts for guys using 9006 bulbs/harness but the stock halogens in mine are 9005. My previous car which was a 2013 impala I had hid's in with a full retrofit I had 35xb ballasts, xb 5500 bulbs, relay harness. What do I need for the D? I think I'm going to go with 6500k this time around. So I'm assuming 35w xb ballast, 9005 relay harness and anti flicker if its needed?

The 5500k bulbs are significantly brighter than the 6500k bulbs. Did they really go back to 9005 for 2017? I thought they were using 9012... Cheap bastards couldn't even spring for a 9011 bulb.

Ya man that's what I'm showing online. Auto zone.com has it has the 9005. Not saying it's right but there's not much else out there regarding a size for the 17s

Well I'll be damned. Manual shows 9005 lol. If you don't want to dick around with the hid stuff you can pop some 9011 HIR bulbs in, I did for my high beams on my 2011. 2300-2500 lumens vs 1800 lumens. Hid will put out up to about 3500 lumens at 35 watts.

Just had the TSR morimoto xb55 w/ 6500k blubs put on my 15. My original diy Kensun setup was mangled in an accident and shop was clueless. Free upgrade for me with pro install! TSR now has a Mopar specific harness that takes all of our issues into consideration. My diy setup had cancellers, resistors, capacitors and still sometimes powered down randomly. I would suggest going with TSR just use the vehicle search or call and tell them what you want....guy gave me a coupon code

I got this one it was developed specically for our finicky canbus system. Same kit, but with the mopar spec hd harness

Just a FYI TRS shows he bulb to be a 9013 NOT 9005.

I plan to order there 35W 5500K kit for the headlights and 35W 3000K H11 for Fogs!

Im not using TRS, but I had/have 5000k and 3500k setup and really like it....
