Durango R/T 2021 vs. Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Summit

Hello,

I am considering upgrading from a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee to a 2021 Durango R/T (with towing capacity to 8700 lbs). We use our current JGC Jeep to tow our travel trailer. The jeep has air suspension airbags. The Durango does not have this, or at least the model we are considering. I am not sure if that matters too much.

Is there anything I should be concern with for towing our trailer (about 5200 lbs dry weight)?

Make sure you get one with the factory tow group installed. That will give you the max towing capacity and a brake controller. Without that group the capacity is significantly lower.
