Hey everyone, since it starting to get cooler here, I've noticed a creaking noise in the back of the vehicle. Not sure if it's suspension related, but when I accelerate, the noise happens. It was a little warmer yesterday, and after awhile it stopped, but this morning it's colder and won't go away. Anyone else experience this? 2021 tow n go package.

Ok so I have an update on this for anyone searching. Rear exhaust was rubbing bumper, so that was adjusted. Still a couple other noises, which was the exhaust heat shield rubbing the exhaust as well. There was also a lower shock bolt that was loose, so that was retorqued. I believe it was the heat shield that was making most of the noise, but it has been resolved now. Thanks everyone.

I seem to be experiencing the same creaking in my 2022 SRT, which I believe has the same exhaust as your TnG. My dealer claims that they cannot replicate the sound even though every time I get into the truck, I hear the noise. It almost sounds like it's coming from inside, but I haven't been able to replicate the noise by moving and pushing on things and no one that I've asked to help has been able to pinpoint the location. It's extremely annoying considering it's a $95K vehicle and only a few months old. By any chance, did your dealer give you any additional details about where the noise was originating, how they found it and what they did to fix it? Any insight you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, sorry I should have updated this. the next summer the noise actually came back and it came back much worse. The good news is that the mechanic drove around with me and could hear it as well. They had the vehicle for awhile and ended up getting an engineer to take a look. It was a rear bushing that was completely destroyed. They had the rear end completely taken off to replace it. It wasn't a pretty sight. It's fixed now and never heard the noise since. I can't find the work order to give you the details, but it's definately just an odd issue with mine. Hopefully yours isn't the same situation. I'll see if I can get a copy emailed to me.

Hey I have 22 DDsrt. I think I’m hearing the same noise. It started when it became very cold and then continued to get worse. It seems to happen only when it squats under acceleration. I took it to the dealer about 4 times and they tried blaming it on the x pipe and resonator delete. I told them 2 exhaust places said the mounting of fine. Then finally they said that it was a normal noise. For what we pay it’s unbelievable that they just say it’s normal so you go away.
It honestly ruins the drive listening to it squeak. I’m curious to fixes. Please keep this thread going.

I can't stand squeaks and rattles and I totally agree that this shouldn't be happening on a vehicle that costs this much. The noise has to be coming from somewhere, but after a week of being at the dealer, they can't find it. They have removed all of the interior components but it still creaks when accelerating, so it must be coming from underneath. I've told them to check the bushings, as that was what @PilsNer's problem was, but they haven't confirmed whether they have even looked at them. I'm getting extremely frustrated and I don't know what my next course of actions should be. If anyone has any suggestions, please offer them.

That's awesome! Thank you very much. I will pass this along to my dealership.

Update on the creaking noise, after more than a week at the dealership:

After numerous trial and error attempts and minimal assistance from the Dodge Tech Line, the technician was finally able to make the noise stop. In reading the work order, it seems that the successful action was to "lower the rear cross member and lubricate the cross member bushings." The creaking noise was gone immediately after performing this step. Hopefully, this is helpful to @Role15, and ayone else that has this issue in the future. I'm happy to provide any additional information if anyone needs any.

I have the same noise in my 2022 TNG with 19k miles. Dealership diagnosed as a worn bushing in the right rear control arm. They are replacing the control arm under warranty. Seems extremely early for something like that to go bad. I have towed a 6k pound trailer a few thousand miles, but I have not driven this hard at all. Thinking about whether I need to buy that extended warranty before the factory one is up later this summer.

The first time the dealership thought the creaking was due to the spoiler recall (mine was misaligned). I questioned that, but figured I'd let them try first. Have someone ride in the back to listen when you drive. I did that, and after one turn in the parking lot the service manager said "I've heard enough" which led to them identifying the worn bushing(s).
