^ thanks ... did it come with any hardware that you needed for the install? Or is what we have on our R/T's sufficient already?

Thanks
Check out my noob guide to modding Gen 3 in my sig - all the parts you need are listed in there :)

If anyone needs 2 bolts, I'll send them to you for free - just pay for shipping to get them out to you.
I'm still trying to decide whether I want do the install or have the dealer do it. So I may grab two of them from you if I go ahead and do it myself. Also might anyone know if Durangos with the tow package have different coding for the trans than ones without? What is the alternative if mine can't be reprogrammed, just watch the trans temps and shift myself?

Somehow I lost of someone took my hitch cover panel over the weekend. Can anyone confirm that the below is the correct part number and if it comes painted or unpainted/
I have a 14 R/T if it matters In the part number or not. I make sure it is on perfect every time so I think someone snatched it.

The hitch cover (Part # 05113692AA, MSRP $58.70): http://www.mopar.com/part/05113692AA...606994&b=dodge

I think the unpainted hitch cover is

1XV07TZZAB

FASCIA-HITCH

FASCIA-HITCH for MOPAR |1XV07TZZAB

I accidently ordered this one for my Limited and its definitely unpainted and ready for paint...I have my dealer ordering the AA for me to see if its the body side color molded textured one.

Awesome, so I can order that one and go have it painted and be done with it? Comes with the 2 twist clips to put it on as well? I really hate that mine went missing as I hate the missing part look it has now.

Yes, you will need it painted. I did mine myself with color match rattle can for $21 total (primer, color and clear).

Mine did NOT come with the twist clips and was wrapped in Mopar plastic, so I would suspect those are their own parts. I transferred them from my non-tow fasica, but if your was lost or stolen, you'll need to get them.

So what you're telling me is that if I ordered 1XV07TZZAB, this will not match the gray/black textured plastic?
the 1XV07TZZAB is a flat black version to be painted. I don't have a R/T but I'm assuming the rear bumper cover is body color. I have a limited which has the grey textured bumper cover..I ordered the "AA" from my dealer least weekend as they thought that was the right one. They said about a week and they will keep it if it's not the correct one

Since no one else has answered, I'll contribute what I know. I have the 1XV07TZZAB that I used for my R/T. for the most part it was smooth. I sanded it with 800 grit to give it a little bite before I primered it and then painted it the body color. that is what I know.

I would speculate that if yours is not the body color then you'll need another part number. finding a resource for Mopar part numbers has proven to be difficult. I ended up spending 40 minutes at the dealership verifying part numbers and I ended up with everything I needed.

good luck.

I am trying to get a clear answer to the question of activating the lights via the computer. If you install the hitch and wiring yourself do you need the dealer to activate anything? I ask mainly because my dealer installed the hitch and harness and I went to use it tonight and the lights don't work. Wondering how the dealer screwed up. Of course I am leaving early tomorrow morning with a trailer!

I installed the hitch and wiring harness myself but I did need the dealer to hook up the programmer and do their magic in order to make it work. Took them about 45-60 minutes

So is the general consensus that the only thing the towing pkg really adds on a citadel v6 is the actual hitch, electrical connection and cover? Does the bigger alternator, heavy duty cooling and full size spare come on every citadel v6?
I'm pretty sure the bigger alternator, heavy duty cooling and full size spare are part of the tow package.

Thanks. I am guessing my dealer forgot to program it when it installed the hitch
I believe they do need to program it in order for them to work so I would get that done.

Yes they are part of the towing package unless you get an R/T then you already have those items.
