I’ve had this issue off and on for months and it’s driving me crazy. When driving at highway speeds, I’ll get a warning chime and “service AWD” light will come on. Immediately after that, the “traction control off” warning light will come on and stay in until I shit the vehicle off.

Also, at low speed takeoff, I can sometimes feel something slipping like the traction control is trying to grab and release.
I’ve had it to the dealership twice and, of course, it will never act up then.

Any suggestions?

You would need to specifically look for an ABS code as opposed to a run of the mill P0 code. I believe the ABS codes are begin with C. When my RR wheel speed sensor went south earlier this year, the car behaved as yours is doing. Thankfully, the wheel sensors are not pricey, and easy to change.

Thanks for returning to update us on the remedy. Was it the T case shift motor, or the transfer case control module (TCCM)?

Don at what mileage did this occur, and was it covered by Dodge?

Does anyone know if this is a common problem item?

I know this has been posted here a while, but ... My 2015 Limited, v8, AWD is doing precisely the same thing. Had it to the dealer a few months aga and they ran a TSB but apparently the TCM wasn't interested because it didn't fix the problem. Taking it in again as soon as my schedule permits. I am armed with some good information now so that may help. Thanks up front. We will see what happens.

15 citadel. error code 403. No 4WD, not even trying. Three dealers all failed to even come close! so I ordered a TCCM online, & replaced it myself which has totally fixed the issue. I now have 4WD on demand. Does NOT need flashing, no matter what they tell you. Just make sure to disconnect the battery, at the battery, NOT where it charges for best results. TCCM was over twice the cost of ordering online, just make sure it's a real MOPAR part. Feel free to inquire with me further if needed

2013 dodge Durango rt AWD. Transmission is. Slipping && low traction light came on ......won't go past 40 mph any ideas.?..
There was a transmission flash update in 2015, might what to see if that was ever applied? Also 2013s had a TSB for the transfer case as well.
