I wish FCA would not expand production of Durango hellcat , that's why I bought it because it was going to be under 2000 built.
they stated they'll make as many as the can in 6 months, 2k was just a rough estimate.

reminds me of waiting to buy the 04 R32, that was hard 5k us spec production run but still a special vehicle to own and drive. (should have kept it)

Mine is suppose to arrive in the sunshine state on the 18th (haven't check in on updates since monday), then trucked over. I'll have them install the evts add-on, i'll need to get ceramic tint scheduled/ppf. Most likely add some sound deadening in the rear area to cut some droning. (also thinking about tapping into into alarm with a switch on the neutral pull) Too bad not a week sooner as my kids have spring break next week.

What’s the evts add-on? Have you seen a solution for the neutral pull cover yet? It’s been something I’ve been looking for.

I’m also considering installing a kill switch or an OBD II lock, haven’t decided but with the theft rate of Mopar vehicles lately, I’m a little concerned.
just OBD plug in play mopar alarm piece with better gps/fencing/tilt/shock sensor (i think at "gold level"). I saw on hellcat.org some guy made up a metal piece. I was going to look at it when it comes and and what can be done to cover it or tap into the door alarm with another switch pin on the lever.

I've seen the autocyb and a german company that sells a "OBD-Saver" which screws into the obd port. (haven't found anyone that exports, but maybe something that can be 3d printed)

I have been seriously considering removing all the Hellcat badges, just to help make it less of a target for thieves . . . if they don't see those badges, maybe they will just move along and ignore it . . .
many moons ago, had a good friend with a typhoon. They would case his truck all the time, so many failed attempts, even tried towing it (damaged the driveline).

biggest issue around here is just kids hitting up parking lots with a key fob extender looking for a purse or merchandise during busy shopping periods

I do have a beefy steeing wheel/brake lock... if i have to park is somewhere or take it on overnight trips.

nice durangos!

this can't come soon enough. Just got rear ended in my truck today which is my daily.

These thieves are running around with a locksmith's key programmer. They need access to either your obd port or a star connector the resides on the can-bus system. They can program a new blank key in matter of seconds. If they can get into your ride, they can pop the hood and swap relays and fuses.
I also ordered a obd screw lock... expensive but willing to see if it is worth it. Seems no one imports them to the US at all. Think I mentioned in this or another thread/hellcat.org. Installing the EVTS for the built in tilt/shock sensor. Plus, I'm going to look at making a cover for the neutral pull. Probably even more so now that I'll need to daily this while getting the truck fixed.

Which OBD lock did you order? If you’re able to build a good neutral pull cover, I’d be interested if you want to sell them.
that obd saver universal with two screws, totally over priced but was curious.

i was thinking in carbon fiber, i have some materials from years ago sitting around. I haven't seen what the netural pull cover looks in a durango but if its something to pull a mold from, maybe easy enough. Just more of a deterrent (and underside too)

I still need to pick mine with a fine toothed comb but so far I have a paint issue. On my hood, 2 spots have hardened clear coat drops, one on each side.

This is one of the spots:

seems easy enough to wet sand down.

Since the dealeship i'm using, only uses a brush machine, I'll be prepping the paint. Need to Decide if I do it myself or just hire out as all my pads are shot.
