Just wondering if anyone has had any updates on there 2021 hellcat durango? I order mine back in early November and haven't had any updates from the dealer...
Not too much new for 21. New dash, center console, 10" display, UConnect5, forged carbon fiber bits, bumper and headlights. Everything else JNAP has been putting on/in Jeep Trackhawks for a few years now. I had an early production 2018 Durango SRT built October 5, 2017. The only issue I had was at delivery the rear hatch close button was not connected to the harness. It's been issue free since then. This Durango has been pretty much unchanged since 2011 and they built a bunch of 2021 Durangos before they started on the R/Ts and SRTs so that should give you some added confidence.Good for you.But I'm concerned about the lack of quality control issues on the folks getting the RT's and SRT's already..so I'm in no rush..My 18 SRT had 6 issues that were slowly corrected over the first year.
It appears they have slipped a bit and the initial ship dates have moved into early February. I stopped bugging my dealer until I see some motion from some of the other guys with orders. I don't know if the Durango/JNAP has been hit by the Hellcat engine / circuit board shortage that shuttered the Charger/Challenger/300 plant in Canada for a few weeks.Reading the posts there are a lot of ship dates that have passed. Does anyone know if any have shipped, have anyone moved passed D1, or does anyone know if they have even started to build yet?
Has any one calculated how many Priuses (Prii?) or Teslas are required to offset a single TRX or DDHC? I giggle a little bit each time I drive by an EV or hybrid in my DDSRT knowing that I will not go quietly into the night in terms of buying a hybrid or EV anytime soon. This thing is like a Prius to my TRX, so in a very real way, I'll be saving the planet.

I have been trying to track all these through various methods and I have records of at least 127 window stickers so far. So theoretically those have been authorized for shipment but may or may not have been shipped. I think we have at least 5 that have been delivered so far. The only bad thing about my tracking is that I am not accounting for deliveries to Canada unless those folks are in the forums or on Facebook. Shipping volume has definitely picked up in the last week or more. I ordered on 11/6 and have a low VIN but I am with many that haven't been built yet.67 vehicles under cargurus,is that how many have been built and shipped.
VINs are not sequential for the DDHC. It follows Dodge's VIN strategy for all Durangos so it is tied to when the order was put in and when it was accepted and assigned a VIN. Lowest DDHC VIN I have seen ends in 604592, whereas highest one so far is 100710. All DDHC VINs will start with 1C4SDJH9. To be clear they are NOT building in sequence.I don't think the vin# is specific/sequential for the HC , unless someone has more specific info on that..
Here is what I have as of tonight. If 127 is accurate that is not many with 15 weeks to go. Mine was to be shipped yesterday but they maybe waiting for others to go to colorado. I Haven't seen any shipped there yet.
Quite a boring process really, but I have the time. I search CarGurus, Cars.com and Autotrader for new DDHCs added everyday. I also search on the Dodge website around the major metropolitan centers. I run the VINs through window sticker confirmation to determine how many have been authorized for shipping. Good news is there is a steady climb in VINs daily. However, there are a bunch of us still waiting for our vehicles to be produced. It also seems like some of the dealer stock orders have shipped when we were under the impression that they would prioritize the sold orders first. From what I can gather, no one knows what is going on. We will all get our DDHCs in due time.CW where did you find this information on how many vehicles have been shipped.
2 more hit my list today. All going to Dodgeland in Columbia, SC. Seems like they ordered four or so quickly in a row. VINs are 689201, 203 and 204. I assume 202 will hit soon. I have seen a few pockets of VINs like this from a couple dealers. I assume they did all their stock orders at once when they released the remaining allocations after the initial ordering period.A vehicle has shipped to SC and it isn't mine?!!!
Hissy fit pending ...![]()
Nice pairing! Congrats on delivery of the DDHC! Have you taken any pictures in the sun with the door open such that we can see how the Octane Red exterior and Demonic Red interior work together?View attachment 114204
Having fun setting up the profiles and settings today. Schedule for the Bondurant Experience in a couple of weeks. Found one bolt cover missing from the passenger door handle. Other then that all has been good so far.
Heck my 2014 BMW Alpina B7 has night vision. Not as advanced or as clear as the new Caddy, but it is still pretty good. Even for a 2014 it can pick up motion at night and warn you and can decipher fairly accurately between an animal and a human. You can watch the thermal image on the center screen but it is more of a novelty.Escalade does have night vision.
Fourth DDHC and a Charger Scat Pack were stolen off a dealer lot in Chicago last night.first one stolen before they even started making them

It’s no surprise people are after the 2021 Dodge Durango Hellcat. The Durango SRT Hellcat might very well be the most powerful SUV on the planet with 710 horsepower and a supercharged V8 unde...www.powernationtv.com
That's not someone, that's Jay Tucker. He makes performance parts for a living. Shouldn't have been hard for him to make one for the Durango Hellcat as he already has 6.4L and other 6.2SC products available. Heck, the installed his own catch can on his DDHC while he was at the dealership picking it up!Someone made a Durango Hellcat intake considering it is a limited run vehicle I am a bit surprised honestly. I may be interested with the dry filter option.
His hellcat intakes are pretty consistent. He claims 30-35 RWHP and 20-25 RWTQ and that is based off dyno testing. People will argue until blue in the face that there is no way possible, but Jay stands behind his products. I am not saying those numbers are accurate, but that is what he publishes. No tuning required. There are other CAIs out there and they all make different claims. Not that I need any more power, but of curiosity what are the dyno gains on other hellcat platforms from this intake swap?
That is why I am hesitant until more people install this one. I like his stuff, but he does remove a small resonator and lowers intake restriction with his kit so I would assume it would be louder. Most are, but is it annoyingly loud? It's all about lowering intake temperature and restriction. The better you can do that, the more power you will make. The website says there are 30hp gains. But do supercharged or turbo charged intake swaps make more power? Is it the cold air?
I would get it for louder intake noises.
You are correct sir! I will mark it as yours. Can't wait to see pics as that will be a unique combo. From what I hear most will pay MSRP if they go through the right folks at Koons. When did you place your order? If the "Octane w/Redline" car is the one that Koons in northern VA has just listed on CarGurus, then that's my car! Looks like they just listed almost their entire initial allocation of DDHCs, all at $10K over sticker. Makes me relieved that I'm "only" paying MSRP for mine.
Let's be fair here. Your vehicle has not been produced. It is just another VIN on my tracking list. With the recently announced reductions in work schedules at JNAP and the fact that orders ahead of yours have been pushed back at least a month, you are looking at late May or June. However, that is pure speculation on my behalf based upon what I have seen in tracking all these. I have no idea how Stellantis is prioritizing builds at JNAP with the chip shortage. Chips should go to higher margin vehicles like the DDHC, but if they don't have all the parts, they can't produce/ship your order, but long story short you have a VIN and in this game that is a good thing.Order placed December 22nd. So, reading this and other threads, it looks like I've been fortunate to get my vehicle so quickly. At the time I ordered, Craig at Koons said they had an initial allocation of 30 DDHCs, and mine was approximately the 22nd of those to be sold. He did not put me under any pressure to order, but did make it clear that they could not guarantee they would get a further allocation. (I have no idea if they did, or not.) He also never mentioned any possibility of a dealer mark-up but, equally, was pretty firm that they could not go below MSRP on this particular model.
