I figured I would start this thread to see what issues people are running into. I'm sure many of these will be worked out quickly but wanted to see is others are having the same issues I am.

1) Yesterday, my screen became completely unresponsive. It would not acknowledge any screen touches. This went on for 5 minutes and continued after a reboot of the system. Eventually it just started working on its own again. It started when my apple car play started up.

2) Performance pages are glitchy. They seem to crash when I select the certain performance page I want to view. Without fail, the G Force page crashes and reverts to the home page every time I click on it.

3) I am unable to add more than one profile. I called Uconnect and they said an update will be pushed out soon to add up to 5 profiles. Is everyone having this issue?

4) Screen not dimming when headlights are on while using apple carplay. It seems like its on full bright even when headlights are on only when on the car play screen.

Thanks @jeffauclair as your posts are appreciated but these TSBs do not help with our issues especially the profile TSB since we are almost a full month into the 2nd quarter.
The part about connectivity is baloney and seems to be an excuse. VR with poor recognition (which I have) is a problem with their programming. When it does not understand me (my uc4 works every time) it simply says PARDON. Pardon what? The other day it said, Pardon can you repeat that? But that was the only time it said anything past Pardon. Mopar is so freaking cool if they put effort into it they could easily crush their competition but with things like buggy software and lack of customer communication they are not helping themselves.

I really feel like I am blacklisted with FCA. Dodge cares is not responding to me on the forum, Uconnect has been silent for 2 weeks and FCA themselves have not responded to me.
Not sure why this is happening to me but it is an impression of FCA not caring that is starting to hit home.

Hello everyone,

As of right now, the tentative software update release is expected to be in Q2. With that said, please keep an eye out for communication from our teams since we will be keeping you all informed as more information is released. I understand that this anticipation is not ideal, but we appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work towards a more flawless platform.

Courtney--
I sent a PM to @DodgeCares to state this as well.
To update—I have had my Durango at the dealer twice for the UC5 issues I have stated such as connectivity and randomly having music not play. Each time at the service department has resulted in the following:
1-The dealership service manager confirms they CAN replicate the problem(s).
2-They tell me that FCA engineers are working on a solution, but until an update drops that solution is not available.
3-If the issues persist, the service person indicated that FCA may replace my entire UC5 unit entirely, but it was not confirmed.

I am more than happy to continue to offer my vehicle for the purposes of furthering a solution, but after the dealer told me there was no reason to return to have them repeatedly diagnose and confirm the suspected issues until FCA engineers had a solution, I am confused on why continuing to have my dealer hold my vehicle several days at a time is beneficial to me or the solution.
If you and your team can offer reason to as why continuing to take my Durango into the dealer is beneficial (squeaky wheel gets the grease?) I am more than willing to do what I can within my schedule. If I made an appointment for the service department each time this happens I would be at the service department every day, lol.
Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear that your dealer hasn't been able to successfully resolve your concerns at your visits. I'd like to ask you some questions, if you don't mind. Please send our @DodgeCares team a private message with more details so that we can better assist!

Thanks,

Courtney

@Vice-White I am with you on this. I check sporadically on the NHTSA for any TSB or recall or bulletin because dealer never seem to know about these and I often had to point out a starcase to help and push the service derpartement at dealer to work harder and give me other reason than ''we could not reproduce the issue ''

I only figured to share information I found as FCA, dodge cares or either dealers have been either MIA or on repeat saying '' an update is comming next quarter... blabla bla''

Hey fun fact. I found a cool feature in the U5C which I do not have in my U4C Nav units.
I was listening to Rage Against the Machine on SiriusXM when a call came in. I was on that call for a good 10 minutes and when it ended, Rage came back on exactly (I think) from the point when I got the call and answered it.

I checked for all 2021 Durango trim levels for TSBs.
TSB: Flash Amplifier (Harmon Kardon Systems) --> Fixes inability to use Surround Sound with SiriusXM
TSB: 2020-2021 V6 Durangos spark plugs may cause a MIL. --> Fix is new spark plugs as original OEM plugs had a high defective/failure rate.

Nothing else for any 2021s
The Flash Amp TSB should apply to the Alpine system too since I can use surround sound with USB MP3s but not on SiriusXM.

Another issue with the U5C.

When favorite song alert pops up, there is a horizontal rectangle that is blue. In the upper left hand corner there is a very tine SiriusXM logo and in MICRO font it lists the favorite song. You can click on ok to play it or X to cancel it.

Uconnect, why the micro font unless you feel 15 year olds that have incredible vision are driving your vehicles?

Also, the Favorite Song Alert pops up when I am playing MP3 from the USB source, why do that?

If FCA does not reach out to actual owners on this forum and the Pacifica forum to test firmware then FCA is doing a disservice to existing and future customers.

The Song Alert while using Sirius XM is not a 1" bar across the top like when playing from USB, it is the whole screen but again, MICRO font that you can't read.
Also the song alert goes away too fast.

I just now heard The Trees at work and it's one of my favorites.

Another bug I found is the Song Alert box randomly is either a large screen song alert or a title bar across the top song alert. No rhyme or reason as to when or why different ones show but I suspect it should be only one type of notification. Sadly both types of song alerts have micro font and it is very hard to see especially when driving,

The only issue I've had that wasn't resolved by a reset is that the main clock display doesn't adjust for DST when synced to GPS, and there's no way to manually adjust for that either. The NAV app is aware that DST is active, based on the ETA display, but that information doesn't seem to be communicated everywhere it needs to be.

The only response I've had from Dodge so far is to visit a local service department, but I don't know what they'd be able to do about an apparent software bug.

Since I seem to be the only one who's had this issue, I guess I'm the only one who hasn't kept their Durango connected to the internet since day 1, because that seems to be the workaround until the software update can fix it. The most annoying part is that it was a "could've been an email" situation, instead of involving an overnight stay at a service department, depending on when this became a known issue.

Android Auto (AA) Pairing: Like most with a 2021 Durango, I have struggled to get wireless AA to work for an extended period of time without it losing the connection repeatedly. Please try this pairing procedure as I have not had issues since I was properly paired.
1. Make sure AA is already installed on your device and wireless AA is toggled on in the AA settings on your phone.
2. If you have already paired your phone to your Durango you will need to delete it from Device Settings on your Durango
3. Unpair from UConnect in your phone's Bluetooth menu
4. Look in your phone's Wi-Fi networks for anything like DIRECT-aa-AndroidAP or similar and select "Forget Network" in settings. If it's not there don't worry about it.
5. RESTART YOUR PHONE and grab your phone's USB cable
6. Once your phone is restarted and unlocked plug it into your Durango using the USB cable
7. Launch AA on your Durango and accept any prompts that may come up on both your phone and on the UConnect screen
8. Click the little down arrow next to the AA icon at the bottom of your UConnect screen and click on Launch UConnect Phone in the banner that pops up above the icons.
9. Approve any pop ups on your phone about access
10. You should see your contacts and other phone information displayed on the Phone section on your UConnect screen
11. Click the small arrow next to the Phone icon at the bottom of your UConnect screen and click on Launch AA in the banner that pops up to toggle back to AA.
12. At this point disconnect the USB cable from your phone. In a few seconds AA should return to your UConnect screen but this time it will be using the wireless connection.
13. You still should be able to toggle between your phone and AA using the icon at the bottom of the UConnect screen.
14. Every time you start your Durango now AA should connect wirelessly unless you have your Wi-Fi turned off for some reason. You should no longer have the dropped connection issues.

Another bug.

Today when playing MP3s from my USB stick, there is now a heart where the shuffle icon/button used to be.
To the left of the rewind button specifically is where the shuffle icon is supposed to be. Now it's a heart icon/button does nothing and I cannot get the shuffle icon back.
Anyone else see this with their system while using the USB?
Sorry for the finger print smudge but I got annoyed and kept pressing the heart like somehow it would work.. LOL

Just took delivery of our 21 TnG DD Saturday, needless to say Uconnect has been trash. paired two iphone 12s to it and carplay works when it wants to and skips audio constantly. 73k msrp....can’t play bluetooth audio properly.

you dodge cares yahoo’s should be ashamed.
The DodgeCares people have helped out many people (and their counterparts at JeepCares have helped me).

They didn't design the vehicle.

Are you also have an issue with the number of songs you can add. My old 2014 let me add 50 songs now it will only let me add 20. I have looked every place and no one is complaining about it and called Dodge, Uconnect and Sirius. Sirius said it was my radio. But he had trouble understanding what I was talking about.

Another bug I found this morning.
When you tap Media, it should show your available media.
SiriusXM
FM
AM
USB1
USB2
USB3

This morning it only showed AM and USB1. After about 15 minutes of driving it then showed Sirius XM, USB 3, USB2, AM, FM
I like to use this feature since I have the main screen media source hidden.
