I just recently purchased a 2006 Durango Limited and wanted to add it to my Sirius account. I read in the Owners manual pages 211-215, that I need to read the Owners Navigation Manual to get the details to access the Sirius radio signal. Unfortunately, I don’t have that manual And haven’t found it online. If anyone has this booklet and would be willing to share it, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you to anyone that can help me! Kim

What radio do you have? There will be a 3 character code somewhere on the face plate of the radio. Something like REN, RER, etc.

I believe the RAQ requires a separate tuner module and antenna for Satellite.

If your Durango didn't come equipped with the external tuner, antenna and wiring it would need to be added. I'm not sure you can still buy the install kit for Satellite for that radio.

Maybe check your build sheet to see if the Satellite option was factory installed?

I thank you DuRonbo for your help with my issue. Could you please tell me where I can locate my Durango’s build sheet? Is this sheet similar to the ‘window sticker’ on a new vehicle?

Do you have a little square Satellite radio antenna on the roof? I'll check on my 2008 and see what's up there. I have a 730N NAV unit with Satellite radio factory installed.

I was able to bring up my Durango on that link you sent me and it definitely lists Sirius radio and also a free year of it When you bought it new. You know, I’m not sure what is on my roof! After I get home from work today I’ll get my step ladder out and check it out!

What happens when you press the Mode button and go to SAT?

Are you trying to activate a new subscription on the RAQ radio? If you don't have a current subscription you'll only get the info channel I believe. I don't think that 1 year free works if you haven't activated when you first got the vehicle. I could be wrong but on all my used Durangos with Sirius..I was only able to get free 30 or 90 days...don't remember exactly.

If you're looking to get the ESN/SID number to give to Sirius look at page 217 of your owners manual. It indicates:

With the ignition switch in the ACCESSORY position and the radio OFF, press the CD Eject and TIME buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. All twelve ESN/SID numbers will be displayed. You can exit that mode by pressing any other button.

Also, would the external tuner have its own fuse, and if so, could it Be the issue?
There is a 10 amp fuse in the Junction block F11. The junction block is behind the removable plastic panel down by your left foot . F11 feeds the Satellite Receiver and the Rear DVD Entertainment System if you have it.

Ok. Answering your questions in past posts:
“ I have a 730N NAV unit with Satellite radio factory installed.“ Where did you locate the unit number of your NAV?

”What happens when you press the Mode button and go to SAT?” I followed the directions in the owners manual and repeatedly pressed the Mode button to try and trigger the Sirius to come on and it just says SAT. No signal. And it’s stuck on channel 184. When on the phone with Sirius, I went through 2 tech people and was about to be directed to a third when my cell died!
I also have a 2009 Chevy HHR SS (Harry!) that has Sirius in it. So, I contacted Sirius to add my Durango to the account I already have in place. They (Sirius techs) kept sending a refresh signal to the Durango and nothing changed. In fact when I turn on the engine, the radio says CALL SIRIUS with an 877 number.
Oh! You also mentioned:

I was able to not only get the 12 digits to show but a few pictures of them since they flicker when photographed like watching a movie!
so far, no Sirius yet but still working on it. I’ll update you when I can get them on the phone. Thank you.

The radio model number is730N and comes from my build sheet. It's an RER radio as shown on the lower right of the faceplate. Sorry about the confusion on that.

When you talked to Sirius did you give them the 12 digit ESN/SID number? Or were they going off the VIN?

It's interesting at Key On that you get the Call Sirius message on the radio. That makes it seem like the satellite receiver is working and forwarding info to the radio.

Sirius Channel 184 is the Preview channel. That's normally what it defaults to when you don't have a registered subscription.

here is what I have on my roof!
changed the fuse. Not sure if you can tell if it’s blown or not, no discoloration other than part of the metal prongs.
That's definitely an OEM Sat/Nav antenna.

Regarding the fuse the only way to tell 100% if it's good is to put a multimeter on it and check the resistance. Should be close to zero ohms. Without being able to do that then a visual check of the center par of the fuse from the side. Inside is a metal filament in an "S" shape. If that's intact then most likely good. If broken...then blown.

Thinking things through after reading your latest text, leads me to believe that I am not getting a signal which could mean the antenna may have been either cut or disconnected. Because it shows channel 184 and the words ‘no signal’ On the radio screen.
when talking with Sirius they used my vin. Haven’t had a moment to call them back.

That could very well be the case or the antenna itself has failed. The Satellite Receiver is located in the back by the hatch under the headliner. Here's the pages from the FSM on removal/install of the satellite receiver.
