Hi all, my name is Deanna and I have a 2020 Dodge Durango SRT. I’m looking for a little help if someone can provide it!

Recently someone attempted to steal my car, boo :( it’s been to the body shop and is all fixed up but I had an after market security system installed for extra precaution (Viper system). They cut my horn wires during the attempt and they have since been spliced together by the body shop but the shop is saying that they cannot connect the horn back to itself because of the security system installed? So I asked the company who installed it and they said that they use their own siren and module and do nothing with the car’s original horn wiring. I’m going to attach a picture here that I was able to take of the wires and it looks as if they essentially just need to be plugged back in to the horn itself? Please let me know, anything is helpful!

Thank you Tin Foil Hat for the advice! Hopefully I can reattach it and get it working! Let me post some pictures here of my ride to keep the thread going, and I’ll be sure to add some more info in my signature, thanks again!

How do all. Picked up a '23 Blacktop R/T...after having a '12 Challenger R/T, a '19 1320, a '13 Ram a '16 Ram a '19 Ram and now a '22 Power Wagon 2500 w/ 6.4 and a bunch of other MoPars. Got a question, are the door skins aluminum on the Blacktop, or just sound cheap? Thanks!

All steel I believe on all models.

Hello everyone, hope this is the right place to put an intro. I have liked Durangos for a time, saw a wrecked older one (2016 Limited) and got it to fix up. Glad this forum exists, and I know I will have questions. Congrats to all those that are picking up their new Durangos!

Oh boy. I can just imagine the questions we are going to get now about how to put your broken car back together.

Hi everyone, the name is Steven and I picked up a 19 DD-SRT last year. Getting near the 40k mark. Will be lowering the truck soon. Mods done so far: Borla cat back, K&N CAI, power stop rotors/pads, Rallyarmor flaps:

Hi fellow forum members. My name is Bill, I am a retired engineer from Beech Aircraft (King Air). Ordered my 2021 Durango late 2020, little did I know my timing would beat the upcoming covid/supply chain issues and I would have it in less than 8 weeks! F8 Green! I had a Charger R/T I loved but at 125K I thought maybe I'll get a new car before I retire. My wife said, well if you get a new car I think it should hold the grandkids. That was not a pleasing prospect. Then realized I could get what I wanted in a Durango! So here it is, my three row Charger. Was a member of a really great Charger forum and now I found this one. You have already helped me with updating my Uconnect 5 nav system. Hopefully I can contribute down the road.

What's up y'all? First time Durango owner here. Drove my Vapor Gray 2024 R/T Plus AWD off the lot on Tuesday night. Coming from a 2001 Highlander that will now be my soon-to-be 16 year old's first car.
First Durango, first new car ever. Anyone have advice on how to take care of her, what mileage to do what, etc, break-in advice, I'm all ears!

Congratulations! Very COOL color too!

I drove mine easy until 1,000-miles and then progressively enjoyed her more and more. Change the oil & filter at 5,000 and let her rip! LOL

Went through it last night...said basically don't drive over 55-60 for first 100, make sure engine warms up before you go, then don't go full throttle until after 300...so not a bad break in at all.

Any recommendations for initial oil change mileage? I believe the manufacturer suggests every 7-10k using full synthetic, but I'm wondering if I should do one at, say, 1k just to get any metal shavings from the manufacturing process out of the engine?
