What's up Ya'll, I recently just traded in my 2018 DSRT (which had a full Video In Motion/Nav Bypass on her. I took it out before I gave her up just so I didn't hear about warranty issues. It's all plug and play and who know's what I'll do with it now but I received my DDHC two weeks ago (Black on Black), I've already started putting my touch to the new girl friend (its the closest thing to a girl friend the wife will let me get away with) like 2.5% tint all around, 1000K of three subs in the back (factory Uconnect system used), GPS installed, VIN covered and the coolest Kill Switch you've ever seen (takes holding three factory buttons at the same time to turn her on...... Got to be able to find the button, right??? Anyway, what I can't find yet is a company that offers the Video-In-Motion Bypass..... Anyone heard anything?

What does the video in motion bypass do?
I believe it allows you to play videos while the vehicle is in motion. So you can watch videos on the nav screen while driving. Some people use it for the kids or the front passenger, but I'm pretty sure it is illegal in many states. Here in Virginia the police can pull you over if they see video running within view of the driver (even on a smartphone) - with no other offense needed. A conviction for watching television or motion pictures while driving is apparently considered a moving violation and is a 3-point offense for DMV purposes and carries a maximum fine of $250.

In some of my other cars i had something similar to the video in motion. I wouldn't use it to play YouTube while i was driving but it was nice to have.I could access any option that required the vehicle to be parked before showing. I wonder if this sort of thing on the U5 will let the system think its parked while you drive it opening it all up.

That would be one of the stupidest ways of spending your money. Even if you use it for other things the fact the temptation is there to one day "quickly" look at a video while you're driving, especially a vehicle like ours, is enough to say, not a good idea.

That is not the main reason people get the bypass. For majority of us, it is for Navigation in motion. even rolling at 5mile/hr it locks your navigation input, which is annoying. OP i feel you, i had upgraded from 2018 DDSRT to 2021 DDHC as well with no luck on any new way to add even front parking camera (gotta protect that carbon front lip) sigh... i have called CoastalTech Lock pick for 6 months now, they said they were still playing with it. I call them today... and no answer... I even reached out to NAVTOOL and they said to check back in the summer time... so as of now, no way to unlock Nav in motion or add video input (front parking camera) to our Uconnect5

Please tell us more about the Kill Switch.

Quick update. I just talked to Zautomotive and they said the tazer works no problem on the 2021 Durango's. Still no Video in motion though. For me its good. Has Navigation in motion unlocked and i can add a front parking camera. When i had the tazer in my 2018 Durango SRT in 2018, they didn't have the "start up in drive mode preference" i called and they said it wasn't in the update, so lets see if they have fixed that. I will order the Tazer and try it out.

When I bring up the keyboard in the NAV section to enter an address, it wont accept any key presses.......at least on my truck it doesnt....I need to check and see if they have an updated firmware then..EDIT...I am running the newest firmware....sent an email to Z Automotive

What is Nav in motion? Sorry not familiar with it.
I use Android Auto which uses your recent search history on your phone. So I can look up my destination on Google Maps, get in my D, go to recent searches on the map and I'm set.
It also has the voice option which I have only used once so can't say too much about that.

Nav in Motion lets you enter an address or search for a destination while the vehicle is moving....From the factory, the vehicle needs to be stopped before yhe keyboard will pop up
