The packaging was one thin foam sheet over the lenses and a foam protector at the corners. Fortunately, no damage? maybe because I only live about 40 miles away from the distributor.

Any idea when the 3rd brake light will ship?

Again, the warehouse doesn't provide any "ship to info" so I have no idea until someone says something.

So Indy, are there call tags out so the damaged units will be picked up at some point?? Are the replacements to be sent the same way, ground?

Being a person that's organized and fulfilled large group buys in the past, I just want to say thanks as I know what a pain they can be.
 
I was wondering the same thing has gone a couple of days now and no more news so what's going on?

Well, to tell the truth, I've taken all that money (the entire $200) and went on an all expense paid trip to Monte Carlo. :cheesy: WOO HOOO I'm rich!

But seriously? Remember it's still a holiday weekend. They were closed Friday and will be on Monday. Internet time here isn't quite the same as real world time folks :)

On Wednesday they said the call tags were going out. Did they ship then, or Thursday, or will they ship on Tuesday? Dunno. Hang in there. We will get this all cleared up. Worst case senario, I send you your money back so we do still have solutions. Again, please relax and let time take care of things.

Installed my TBL today and it was pretty easy. The only thing I'll add is you really must make sure the wire adapters are seated solid in the existing bulb sockets.
I also installed the 1 piece headlights my wife purchased for me (not from Indy :cry: ) and must say these aren't that easy to get in and setup. No bumper removal and they went right in place but the set up and alignment is really not simple. I actually believe I may have to make a few mods to set them up as they prescribe in the FSM.
I can tell you they look awesome and everyone will love how they compliment the front end!

FedEx Return Authorizations (RAs) are being sent to the four lucky black headlight owners with damaged sets via shipping. I'm being told today you should see yours soon and, that once picked up, the replacements will be on the way. I'm not real certain how FedEx RAs work but I'll assume if you're not home when they arrive to pickup the box, they'll leave a note. The distributor said to have them packed and ready to go (since I'm one of those with a set of busted blacks, I'll let you know when I get my RA.)

Reportedly, ditto on the two folks with only one headlight issue. I believe they're looking for just the single unit back temporarily. I too drove around with one stocker and one new lamp for a while back in the day (last March LOL.)

The 2 missing LEDs and the 1 lamp retaining ring reportedly shipped today.

Of course, this is all too easy so something along the way will go bad. When it does, PM me and we'll go from there.

Now note: my suggestion, hang on to at least one of your lamp retaining rings from the damaged lights if they're intact. I don't care for the design and found mine to be something breakable. Having an extra may come in handy. Time permitting, I'd like to mod a way to use the stocker 9007 lamp retaining ring because the stocker has more 'meat' on it around the locking area (if you have them, or have seen them, you know what I'm talking about.) Perhaps someone can beat me to this mod? I predict a Dremel trim here, and a knife shave there and presto! The stocker retaining rings would work fine. :)

Whittle, whittle, whittle and soon? it's gone :)

This week went by with no call tag pick up of my defective light. I'll also assume the new replacement is also not on the way? Are they going to ship a good unit when they call the shipper and these finally get picked up (call tag service is 1-2 days max when you contact your shipper), or do they have to receive them back in CA first? I'm just wondering if I'm 2 weeks+ out from getting a working set.

Wow in reviewing the thread, I see some people actually received theirs starting Dec 19th. Mine weren't even shipped until the 22nd. Kind of odd.

Wow? Yours shipped when stock was available I assuming. Plus, the further east, the later the receipt. Conn was shipped first, but not received first.

I haven't received my call tag yet either and I'm their customer and spent over $3000 with them. As I stated early on in this, their communication simply sucks. Please know I'm on it (talked on Wed and Thurs with them.) Their broken english excuses were all holiday related. It shouldn't take a week to send RAs but then again, this was a short week and not a full work week for most people.

Again, I'll get it taken care of or send you back your money and get my credit back from them. Just let me know if that's how you'd rather proceed and I'll check you off the list of the last 7 issues.

I received PM today that yet another member has received their item so 2 of the remaining down, 7 to go.

I called the Distributor twice today and talked with my Account Manager's secretary the first time and voicemail the second time. I let her have a piece of my mind, then I did so on my Account Manager's voice mail box. These delays in the RAs and finalization on the last issues aren't how I'd be handling them and I let them know my frustration and disappointments. For those remaining 7, I'll keep you updated on the value of that and what timing we have from here.

In the future, I'll have the items sent to ME first for review and redistributed from there. It's worth it in time and energies for the extra shipping to make this clear and concise.

IndyD, are they shipping out the replacements before the pickups, when they get confimation of the pick up, or when they get them back in CA and process them? Because again, no call tag pickup today? At this point, if they have to get it back to CA before shipping, I won't get a working set until the end of January at best.

I spoke to my Account manager today (4:46PM Cali time.) He's blaming the delay on Fed Ex. He says FedEx has been notified days ago and that they'll be or should have already sending/sent a truck to each of your locations. Once there, if you're there? give them the ready-to-go package. Otherwise, they're to leave a call tag on your door (GO LOOK!) You'll then get the product ready, call them for pickup and they come back and get it.

I'm supposed to get confirmation that this occured/is occuring still today/tonight. I too am on the RA list as a fortunate? or unfortunate as the case may be? built in check off.

In regards to the replacements, I was told "they're here awaiting the RA returns". I indicated that wasn't good enough do to this delay. They have my corporate info and can colateralize the shipments in advance to insure that they get paid. I was told that while that isn't their company policy, my rep is going to try to get that pushed through and cross ship the items. Thus, the onus will be on you 'lucky' 5 to ship back the damaged goods via the call tag Return Authorizations (RAs) or INDYDURANGO gets charged TWICE. I hope we don't have that happen.

Please do me a favor. When you get your RA and FedEx call tag, please write it down, record it and PM me with the call tag and shipping tracking number. That way I have proof for the Distributor that the items INDEED did get returned.

While it all sounds TERRIBLE, and it's your money if you're one involved and I do understand that, the real list is actually rather short. The list as I have it:

Danek - replaced set
Porter - replaced set
McBride - replaced set (HEY! That's me :) )
Brooks - passengers side only
Matsushige - drivers side only
Morgan - lamp retaining ring (yours may just be shipped without an RA. If you get an RA please call me)
