Ok... got a strange issue that I'm hoping someone else has either had or may know where to point me to resolve it.
2002 Durango SLT
Randomly the left headlight will come on. When you rotate the switch once or several times it will go off. This will occur with key on or off sometimes. One thing that does seem to trigger it more often is when you hit the power lock switch... sometimes the left headlamp will flash when you do that or it may stay on. Once key is off and light is out... it will usually stay off, but have seen it come on a few minutes later too and so I have to keep an eye to make sure it's off and won't run battery down. Obviously... a crazy hassle! LOL
I had thought, and had others that felt the same, that I needed to replace headlamp switch... but now I'm not so sure on that. It does have keyless entry, but I did not get any fobs when I bought it and found out later that I have to go to dealer to have new ones programmed, so I haven't done that yet.
I'm just left guessing here and don't want to needlessly replace parts. Any thoughts or ideas what could be causing this and where I should look for the solution? Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
