Well my kit arrived today which was about a week sooner then they said which is great. So I go to install them and I get the first one hooked up and figure I would try it before I get to far along and have a problem. So I hit the door unlock and it lights up. It was so nice white and bright. So I than wait for the light to go out and proceeded to put the bulb in the socket. Knowing there has been talks about the drl not working with some I decide to start the car and see what happens. The drl lite up which was good. Only problem is the hid than started to flicker or flash like a strob light. So me smile turned to a frown I pulled them out and put the stock bulbs back in. So I will be emailing the company to see what I now need to finish this install. Or through them up on ebay and just buy from the retrofit source.

That sucks man!! That's exactly what I was afraid of. You might need an error eliminator, not even sure if that would work but definitely keep us posted because I want HID's bad!!

Thanks again

So the harness that they say I need is $10 off amazon. But they said my drl still might not work. So I purchased a kit from retrofit because I don't really want to keep dealing with the hassle. I am just going to sell them to my brother and be done with them. Main concern being the AGT ones only use a single relay harness and the retrofit kit has two. You get what you pay for I guess. Well will see if that's the case anyway.

Aren't the DRLs separate LEDs on the 2014s? If so they shouldn't be affected by the hids. Now if you have reduced voltage headlights for hids you'll want to disable them because the reduced voltage will not work well with the hids.

Yeah they are def LEDs just not sure how it's all wired together being it seems as all the wires are inside the headlight housing. I tried the bulbs in my brothers chrysler 300 and the same thing happened. I'm hoping the relay harness will be the fix to make them work. If it is I will let you guys know. And I guess I will be able to compare the retrofit source kit to the AGT kit as to which is more user friendly. Granted I'm the 300 should be easier being the bulbs can easily be reached not like the DD.

Hello I am new to the Durango world, I am the Retrofit Source Headlight and Foglight kits waiting to be installed... how did you mount and run all the wires? I have looked at different threads from removing the wheel well to removing the bumper.. Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

I have an SXT without LED's and I had the same issue. First I got a set of HID's specifically for 9012LL which is nothing but a 9006 with wider pins I believe. I installed them and they would turn on fine with the car off. Once the car was started they would shut off. I thought this was a problem a relay system would fix so I got a set and installed. Problem now was a flickering and then off. So then I got the cancelers from Kensun (Amazon). That made it work perfectly. No flickering and they would stay on, that was for 2 or 3 days. Then one night they just flickered on me and both lights went off. I checked the wiring and it all seems to be OK. Now they just won't turn on at all. The ballast seems fine, the problem seems to be at the Durango's electronic control for the lights. I can plug in the halogen and it turns on fine, then put the relay harness or direct to ballast and they won't turn on, but the tricky part is when I try to put back the halogen it won't turn on until I turn off the car and turn it back on, sort of "resetting it"....

Frustrating... Any ideas on what I should look for?

Thanks!

Hopefully post #6 in this link will help you do some trouble shooting. I struggled getting mine to work for awhile too. Make sure you're ground connections are making good contact as well and that your positive is connected to the jumper post under the hood.

Thanks Mirage85. I installed the capacitor as in the video and it solved the problem. It seems that the pulse screwed the relay, so I had to replace the relay first, then with the capacitor it all worked!
Awesome, good to hear. When I first heard the relay buzzing on mine I thought I had a junk relay, but a replacement one I had on hand did the same thing. Then after searching around I was able to find the solution online. Fortunately I had a capacitor on hand that did the trick.

Incase anyone is still looking. GTR lighting has very nice albeit expensive kits out. I just purchased a 9012 single beam 8000k hid kit without a relay harness from them. Works great, and probably the highest quality kit I've ever purchased for my vehicles. Can post a pic or two if wanted

late yes... but I have a 2014 Limited so thought I could contribute...

I am using OPT7 Canbus Series 5000k in the headlights and OPT7 Canbus Series 3000k in the fogs
Boltzen AC CANBUS Series: 35w HID Kit - OPT7

Originally, I had them installed with their relay (Anti-Flicker Wire Relay Harness for HID Kit - OPT7) and their capacitors (HID Kit Capacitors Warning Light Cancellors (Pair) - OPT7)... they worked great with this setup. No flickering, instant on, etc, etc.. BUT, I would sometimes get a very weird electric noise in side the D, not the ballasts buzzing (i know that sound) and it would affect my radio station frequency a bit (wouldn't come in very clear)... Turn the headlights off and all back to normal... no electrical sound and radio tunes in great...

My educated guess, is that the relay harness (tapped into the TIPM hot post) is causing this weird electrical noise... SO, I uninstalled the relays today, and plugged the ballasts straight to the factory headlight and fog light wiring... Time will tell if this fixes the issue... (I KEPT THE CAPACITORS CONNECTED TO THE BALLASTS THOUGH).... so this will be a trial and error process...

I had the same radio station issue in my Outlander with this kit, and I have the same electrical noise in my 2011 D Crew with the same kit...
So my experimenting will be on the 2014 Limited

As far as routing the wires through the rubber boot on the back of the headlight housing....

The OPT7 Canbus kit comes with the "rubber grommet" pre attached to the HID bulb wiring... and they also come with "extension wires" so you can push those through the grommet as well and plug into the factory socket so you do not have to cut/splice factory wiring (I did not show this in the picture)

here is what they look like...
