Nice, I haven't had a chance to haul my ass outside this morning to see what it looks like yet, but I'm guessing there are going to be a couple more inches on it.

Got my Cadillac 4 note horns that sound like a train horn installed tonight. Here are two really shitty pictures I took of them. I need to tuck the wires from the HID setup back into the fender well still.

What the horns sound like:

I also grabbed a bunch of waterproof relays from another Cadillac at the junkyard. Got the 4 horns and all of the relays for $15.

I didn't take a picture of the relays, but this is what they look like:

Quick video I took of my Magnaflow exhaust (it's 11 years old now) earlier. I just used my phone to record it, so it didn't quite capture the deeper tones as well as I'd have liked it to.

Finally got around to swapping over the 01-03 gauge needles that I've had laying around for a while. The tach and speedo went on easiest (other than making sure they're aligned properly). The other gauges still go on, but you can't quite push the needles down quite as far as the old ones were otherwise the needle won't be able to move smoothly. This isn't really that big of a deal, it just means there will be a bit more parallax if you're not looking at the needles straight on.

I don't know why the speedo and tach needles look yellower than the rest in the picture.

I was driving around out in the field yesterday testing out my new transfer case and apparently my dad got bored, so he decided we needed to have a drag race. His Silverado has a 454 bored out to 461 with a bunch of goodies on it. We don't know for sure, but it's estimated at ~375hp and ~550lbft. His tires are pretty crappy though and I have better gearing on my side, so I was able to beat him.

Went to the Flight 93 Memorial (or at least what's been built so far) today

Changed out the bulbs to leds in the climate controls and defrost/wiper switch to match the gauges. The pictures came out blurry and I can't be bothered to go back outside and take more pictures.

Stopped to take some pictures on my way to Pittsburgh. The Durango is pretty dirty right now, I've been busy with finals the past couple weeks and now it's too cold out.

Look at that beautiful blue beast. Reminds me of the beast on Xmen, lol.

Finally got my hood repainted since the clearcoat was flaking off some on the edge of it (long story, but stealership screweded it up a couple years ago, then went out of business before I could get them to fix it). I had my grandpap's friend do the work. He painted the grille and both fenders too so they would match.

Is it bad that I've never seen xmen

Went out to the quad trails at the state forest today.

And of course knowing my luck on the way back something flew up off the road from under a trailer (not sure if it was already on the road or not). I thought it just went under the car and hit the skid plate, but apparently it hit the lower plastic portion of the bumper and gouged it.

Figures that I can't have anything stay nice for more than a week. Anyway I ordered some plastic filler, paint, and clear coat from amazon so I can fix it.

I repainted my tail light covers the other day since the clearcoat I used the last time didn't hold up to the sun.

Here was the untouched one on the left and the sanded down one on the right.

Here's after several coats of paint and clearcoat. The one on the right was how the clear dried, and the one on the left was wetsanded from 400 up to 3000 grit.

Both wetsanded with 3000 grit and the one on the right was also polished with Meguairs ultimate polish.

Both polished and put back on.
