Finally joined the +300K club today just before noon (see attached pix.)

My Intense Blue baby will turn 14 next month (born on March 30, 1998) and the only major problem I've had since I bought her in Sep 98 was the original tranny had to be replaced? it only made it to 282K! :cheesy:

I'll be taking her to my trusted local shop Friday for some TLC (oil change, brake flush, greasing, etc.) which will most likely include having the recirculating ball steering unit replaced. The side-to-side play in the steering's finally reached the point it bugs me while driving down the highway and, after 300K miles of use, I'm pretty sure it's just worn down to the point where it needs to be put out to pasture.

The engine still runs good and strong and, at this point, I'm starting to believe I might actually be able to make it to the 1/2 million mile mark without needing to do anything to it :? Anyone want to place any bets??

Congrats on the milestone, that's awesome to hear!

Congrats Al, great milestone!

You're living history here Old_School :!:

There's a reason WE as the DOC are in the magazines, invited to tour the production facilities, and get asked our development ideas for input. There are many nice places for Dodge and Durango details on the internet, however there's only one that can be the best. Welcome to THE Durango Owners Club!

There are indeed some special people and some special vehicles in this little corner of the automotive universe.

Thanks for the praise everyone! All it takes is good regular maintenance and any of your D's should also be able to reach this milestone too.

Just wondering, what's the highest mileage D reported so far?? :?:
As much as I'd love to claim this honor, that would actually be the 99 D owned by ridged8. Back on Nov 23 over in the 200,00 mile club? thread, he posted it had 345K on it.

Even at 300K, I've still got quite a ways to go to catch up to that!! :bugeyed:

Congrats.

I'm @ 239K right now. Road trip to Myrtle Beach in two weeks, so I might catch you Indy.

Hey, I was going to ask the same thing. I'm sitting here at 77K for my 99'. Guess there's only so many times one can drive around the island, even if it's a BIG island!

Congrats on the milestone. Or? how about "parsec-stone."

I saw someone buy a 40k mile 2000 or 2001 on DT recently. Sounded fishy, but carfax confirmed it. He must have been a Hawaiian maybe? I guess if you don't have far to drive, the miles don't rack up.
