I have an interview at Dodge this Tuesday. It came about in a surprising way — I was at the dealership chatting with someone about the Mopar brand. I thought they were just another customer waiting on their car, but it turns out they were one of the hiring managers. Apparently, they later found out who I was through a friend I have in the finance department, and invited me to come in for an interview.

I’m pretty nervous about it and want to make a good impression. Do you have any advice on how I can prepare and calm my nerves? Also get supper excited when talking about the moapr vehicles

Good luck to you. They may have to beat you down to be at the level of a Dodge salesman. Or a Dodge anything.

I have two dodges already and i want the charger to round out my group i am so excited i can def be a cheerleader in things i love lol

THANK YOU
I you are referring to the new Daytona Charger, RUN AWAY FROM IT AS FAST AS YOU CAN UNTIL 2026MY when it will be safe.

Good luck with your interview. Keep in mind if the position involves written communication, be sure to spell correctly (spell check) and use proper sentence structure. Your last post was ONE LONG sentence.

Glad you brought that up.
Assuming it may be Dodge / Stellantis corporate? Having spent 38 years in the Corporate world, if I'm a hiring manager and you have poor grammar and spelling I'm probably passing you right by.
I'm sorry, but that's just the way it is.

Until it breaks and they have to pull the engine out because of all the disassembly it would take. After seeing the Wagoneer teardown posted here a few months back for a bad Hurrycane engine I will not be interested in this motor with all it's sensors and not even an oil dipstick.

Haha, yeah—NOPE! I'm 100% gas all the way. EVs are just wannabes. I want raw power and that natural engine sound. That’s one of the reasons I installed a new exhaust system on my Durango RT—nothing beats that growl!

Yes, I usually double-check my spelling and grammar. I was typing on my phone, so a few things got left out—won’t be an issue moving forward since I won’t be using my cell.

This may be a little late, but my advice is to remember that you’re also interviewing them. And I say this as a former HR Director. You want to make sure it’s the right fit for you, so be prepared to ask questions…..what skills/character traits do you think are most important to be successful in this position? What is it like to work here? Company priorities? etc. Also, as I suspect you’ve already had your interview, send a follow up email to each person you met with and thank them, reiterate your interest, etc. Make each note personal by mentioning something specific that you discussed in your interview. Outside of knowing someone working with the company, your best way in is to do something that sets you apart for everyone else. Good luck!
