Yeah this is ridiculous. I mean there was the plandemic and now inflation plus gas prices through the roof. But double the prices for rotors and brake pads? Corporate greed is a very real thing. Hopefully prices will drop back down again. I'm not paying double lol.

Possibly underpriced at release and now realistically priced? Just Kidding! LOL!

I'd hazard a guess that once PowerStop finds their sales took a big dive due to the huge price increase they might adjust their pricing? More likely they're clueless and think they can get away with gouging customers. It'll be a wake up call in the near future for them.

Rotor prices have pretty mich doubled in the last couple years. It's about $100 for a good quality blank rotor these days, let alone the fancier stuff. Crazy stuff.

I never used to resurface rotors when I could throw a new one on for $40, but at these prices....

the price increase definitely has to do with the cost of the raw materials for the rotors. I just got a set of front and rear Z23 pads for a bit over $100. I know all the prices for hardware at my job is going up all the time. 10% to 15% every few months.

Some of our suppliers have tripled in cost over the past 2 years, most increases are 25-50 percent now since 2020. This is all steel products for trucks and trailers. A part that was $17 cost is now $35 and these increases are part of why we hit a new record for March sales. If business is good the higher prices just carry your income and profit higher with natural markups. It's crazy how something so negative can end up being so positive to a business. Our demand is still there. We have traditionally been lower priced than everyone else in the business and now people are buying one part from us and other parts from someone that apparently hasn't bought new inventory yet. That never used to happen.
