Hey gang!

Where are you going with your Durango this summer?

Last year I did an epic 6000 mile round trip out west from Minnesota and visited a bunch of National Parks. This year....I have a couple great trips planned:

June 2016: Leaving on June 21st....Bangor, Maine... Acadia National Park. Down to Gettysburg in PA then over to the United 93 Memorial. Last 2 days will be in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. 8 Day trip...can't wait!

August 2016: Leaving mid August for North Dakota and Montana. Teddy Roosevelt National Park then over to Glacier National Park...Going to the Sun Road....1 night in Kalispell, MT then up to Banff NP in Canada for a day. Back to Kalispell then doing the Going to the Sun Road in reverse on the way home. Another 7-8 day trip.

4500 miles on the Maine trip
3000 miles on the Montana trip

22K now on the Durango....should have about 32K on her early next year. It will be 2 years old by then. Absolutely loving this vehicle as a long trip traveling vehicle.

Oil changed....cameras charged....ready to go!

Share your upcoming trips!

Happy summer!

Great plans! Hope the weather cooperates for your travels. I live pretty close to the Flight 93 Memorial, hit me up if you want any restaurant recommendations while you're there! I am heading from the Johnstown, Pa. area down to the Outer Banks, N.C. twice, once in July, and again in August. My mother got a beach house for one week, and my mother in law got a house for the other week. Nowhere near as epic as your journeys, but like you, I'm excited to get behind the wheel and hit the highways. Save travels man!

Got back last night at 2:30am. Did the last 20 hours straight...Durango ran like a champ. And for those of you who worry that I was tired...I'm used to long trips and the Durango is perfect for them. XM / iPod / Snacks / Coffee....and I pull over and rest if I'm too tired.

Drove from Minnesota to Maine last week...

Acadia National Park....amazing scenery.

Gettysburg Military Park.... so serene early in the AM. Gorgeous but sad at the same time. Its odd knowing 50,000 people died there 153 years ago in a 3 day period....within a few miles of where I was standing.

United 93 Memorial... very well done. I have immense respect for the people on that flight and everyone who died on 9/11. Wanted to pay my respects. Very serene memorial.

Smoky Mountains... Bit foggy yesterday morning but still one of my favorite spots to visit. Try to drive through there every year or two.

I hit a piece of road debris, believe it was a shredded semi tire, at 70mph in Indiana on the way out at 10:30pm on 06-21-2016. Was able to zip tie up the lower fascia and continue. Fog lights still work. Just got an estimate for $607. Going to have it fixed next week. Can't imagine what that would have done to a Corvette or something lower.

I've had 25,000+ incident free miles driving around the nation the last 2.5 years...something was bound to happen eventually. Can't complain too much.

Last Wednesday marked another milestone...in those 2.5 years I've now driven to all 4 corners of the US.... WA/ME/Key West and Southern CA. Lots-o-Fun! More trips to come!

Safe travels everyone....!

Heading to OBX first week of Aug and heading to our lake house in the Poconos this week for the 4th.

Suppose to go to niagra falls for the first time and also fl in August also a first. Just been to air ports in fl never left one .

Where about in Poconos?

Wish I had a road trip planned with our Durango, but it's only going to the airport. We will be leaving for 2 weeks in Ireland, in July. I get to drive on the opposite side of the road, in a small manual shift eco-box car. Been there before and we love the country and green beauty of the island. Not to mention the beer ... it just tastes better over there !

What an awesome trip... I cannot say enough about my Durango and its absolute traveling comfort....thousands of miles without so much as a hiccup. Did hit that shredded tire in Indiana...but that'll be fixed next week. No vehicle is immune to crap on the road.

The 8 speed transmission shifts like silk....V8 power with 21-22mpg overall...even higher at times. iPod / XM...sunroof....what else could anyone ask for!

I LOVE THIS VEHICLE!!!

Well the D is staying home for our vacation and we are heading to Spain to visit some family.

We will be at the Chrysler Nationals, also. (I assume that's why you, tomk, are going to Carlisle in July.) However, we'll be in my '04 Sebring Limited convertible. I'm a bit OCD and for the 3rd year in a row I have the # 1 show field registration. In 2013 I had # 2. This will be our 8th trip there in 9 years. We are 750 miles from there; but, for true MOPAR fans, it's easily worth the drive.

We'll be driving the Durango to Hilton Head in October.

So far have taken the D 1000 mile roundtrip from San Diego to Sacramento couple weeks ago with my wife, newborn daughter and mother in law. Baby D was amazing through and through and fell in love with it all over again driving overnight while all the girls slept.
